Scented Applesauce-Cinnamon Ornaments

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2012
Made these w my 4-year-old daughter today as a teacher gift tag/tree ornament! Used to make these w/ my Kindergarten students and they were always a huge success! You have to roll them out thick, at least 1/2 inch thick and use a straw to poke a hole into them before you let them either air dry 2-4 days or oven-bake at 200 degrees for a couple of hours. Such a nice holiday tradition and a great recipe that you can scale as needed with a 1:1 ratio of cinnamon to applesauce, opting to use more cinnamon to applesauce as it can be a bit runny or pasty/sticky if you don't use enough cinnamon. I used 1 cup sauce to 1 cup cinnamon!

Ropa Vieja in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
Awesome! I read others' reviews and added 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar, 14 oz can of canned tomatoes, a can of tomato paste, a splash of red wine, garlic, a beef boullion cube, and minced garlic, four bell peppers and 2 chopped onions. served with the juice of 2 fresh squeezed limes, and added cilantro and avocado. The beef cooked on high for 6 hours and fell apart, barely had to pull to shred it, it was so tender! Thanks for a great, easy, homemade meal! Leftovers are also amazing, have made this three times before this review!

Allie's Delicious Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2010
awesome as written BUT you HAVE to follow others' suggestion and WARM the milk or it causes the flour to clump and is not an easy fix, can ruin the smooth base you're after! Delicious recipe, thanks for sharing!

Jackie's Special Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
excellent recipe Jackie!! I added fresh grated onion (1/2 Spanish onion) 1 tsp minced garlic, 1/2 chopped bell pepper, a handful of grated carrot and 1 1/2 cups Panko bread crumbs, 2 eggs (maybe 3 next time), tsp italian seasoning, 1/2 c. Ketchup, ...came out wonderfully! I do suggest a fattier burger 90/10 or 80/20, and************* (try this, it is a great idea borrowed from another allrecipes recipe!!!!) I put 2 pieces of any type of bread at the bottom of the loaf pan to absorb the grease and extra juices from the meat/veggies---DH says its tasty, but I toss it out!
