Devil's Steak Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2013
Delicious! I added a little bit more Worcestershire sauce to cut through the raspberry taste. Used it as a condiment with steak and on top of meatloaf, worked well with both!

Boiled Bagels

Great recipe! Takes a couple tries to get the hang of it, especially getting the yeast right (eventually I just mixed it in with the water/sugar/salt before I added it to the flour and got way better results).

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
This was a good base recipe but it needed more garlic and spices. I also added a tablespoon of sugar to cut through the bitterness of the wine.

Marshmallow Treats

Just like the recipe on the Krispies box. Please, please, please--do NOT try to substitute the butter with margarine or smart balance--it doesn't really work.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2010
Amazing! So good! I made this for my mom's wedding (the menu was all barbecue food) and it was a huge hit. I tweaked it a little bit: added garlic powder and dijon mustard and more shredded cheese, and instead of all cheddar i did half cheddar and half monterey jack. It turned out so well, and it was so easy to make! Thanks for sharing!

Fat Free Refried Beans

Definitely needed beef bouillon, I would substitute the 1/2 cup of water with 1/2 cup of bouillon broth next time I make this. Also added cumin, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder and a bit of hot sauce. Excellent base recipe though!

Absolutely delicious! I used cream cheese frosting instead of the frosting in the recipe, but the cake was beyond tasty.

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2010
Delicious! I tweaked it a little bit cus it needed more spices: i replaced parsley with cilantro and doubled the amounts of cumin, chili powder and cayenne, then added onion and garlic powder. then I added about three tablespoons of my favorite salsa cus I think it needs some acid for a more robust flavor. I also baked them on 425 for 15 minutes instead of frying them. They were beyond delicious! Excellent base recipe!!

Delicious, make sure to let them rise though, otherwise they taste too dense.
