Lobster Bisque

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2002
Very good soup. I had some Lobster bisque at a French restaurant in Hawaii, and I was hoping this was similar. It wasn't, but still very good. It could use a bit more flavor, maybe some spices, but I will make it again.

Butterscotch Pudding II

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2002
Good recipe. Very easy to make. I little runny, but that could have been my fault. Nice smooth flavor. Next time I might use dark brown sugar, and use a little less, it was a bit sweet for me. Husband liked it though, and he hates everything.

Carrot Pudding

Really good! I was expecting more of a pudding, but it was like baked yams. I added just a touch of ground cloves. YUMMY!! I need to make this for the next holiday!!!!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2002
Ok, WOW!!!! What an easy and yummy dish!! My picky husband called this dish "excellent." Not to mention the five people who have walked by my desk so far saying. "What smells so good!" I brought some leftovers into work with me. I'm gonna make a batch for Superbowl!! Thanks!

Creamy Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2002
Pretty good cake. Lemon isn't my favorite, but I made it for a friend who wanted lemon cake for his birthday. Him and his wife ate every bite, even after a huge dinner. And they took most of it home afterwards, so I guess it was pretty good. I added fresh lemon juice to the jello and icing, made the icing a little running.

Interesting recipe. You really need to like molasses. I might try it again w/o the molasses. Pretty good with vanilla ice cream.

I love this recipe. I use chopped walnuts though and skip the celery, and sometimes just a touch of sourcream. I get rave reviews every time!

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: May 15, 2003
Wow! Even my picky husband liked this one, and he hates spinach! Making it for a party next month, should be a hit! I think I'll add a little feta cheese and candied walnuts. Thanks, great recipe.

Ok this was a hit. I quadrupled the sauce because I added parboiled broccoli and mushrooms. I also added some crushed ginger. Very good.

Chocolate Mousse Cake III

Reviewed: May 22, 2003
This was pretty good and fairly easy. Everyone finished their cake, but I felt like something was missing. Maybe a little sherry, or extra chocolate? Maybe with chocolate cake? I don't know, but it was good.

Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties

Reviewed: May 26, 2003
I was excited about making these, but I was a little disappointed with the results. They were just ok. Kind of bland. I took them to a BBQ, and had leftovers. Probably won't try them again. Sorry.

Veggie Squares

Reviewed: May 26, 2003
I orginally gave these 4 stars, but I've found that I keep making them, and everyone likes them, so I've upgraded them to 5. I made half the amount of the cream ch. mixture and it was enough for 3 batches of dough! I also added about 1/4 packet of Ranch dressing(powder). I used broccoli, gr. onion, and carrots, and real bacon bits. A little messy, but nice looking.

Fruit Pizza I

(Go the easy route and buy the storebought refrig. cookie dough - then its a snap) I made this for a family reunion, and it was a big hit. I found it a little sweet myself, so next time I'm going to cut the sugar in half. Very pretty and easy dessert. Thank you!

Zucchini Cobbler

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2003
This was so amazing! It was a huge hit at Thanksgiving. No one believed it was zucchini, they swore it was apple, only better. I used just a little less sugar, because I figured I always like my apple pies a little tart, and it was perfect. I thought maybe, that I had made the crust wrong because it was sooo crumbly, but it was perfect too (This was my first cobbler). My Mother-in-law told me I made the best food at thanksgiving, which I thought was pretty nice. Anyway, thank you for the great recipe, this is a definate keeper!!!

Gourmet Sweet Potato Classic

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2003
HUGE...HUGE...HUGE HIT at Thanksgiving!!! Everyone was raving. I used a little less sugar, and it was great, but full sugar would have been just as good (I like mine a little sweet, but not too sweet) so next time I'll try it with full sugar. I boiled the potatos, then whipped them. This is a great dish. I threw on just a few mini marshmellows, because my husband said he wouldn't eat it without them, but once he tasted it, he said he'd eat this anytime. Thank you!!
