About this Cook
Tomorrow I will be 74 years young. All those years of cooking and enjoying good recipes. Don't cook as much as when family was home, but still look for easy to fix recipes. This is a wonderful source for them.
My favorite things to cook
All kinds of soups are my real passion at this age. I will create a soup out of nearly anything. Love the recipes on this site.
My favorite family cooking traditions
One of our favorite times is Thanksgiving. Our tradition is a breakfast brunch in the morning and then a BIG EVENING DINNER with everything under the sun. Best meal day of the year.
My cooking tragedies
Lots of them. Went to a smooth top electric stove a couple of years ago. Have had many pots of burned food as I learned to cook without gas. Quite an experience. Slower cooking, but much hotter.

Slow Cooker Scalloped Potatoes with Ham
I made this at Holiday shopping time and since I could cook this in a crockpot and leave for several hours. It was great to come home tired from shopping and have some of this comfort food. Family really thought it was great too.

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham
Used this glaze and method for Easter ham. Was very good and had a wonderful aroma. Best ham I've ever made. Thank you Sue S.

Jodi's Marinated Veggies
Made this for Easter and my family loved it. Easy to make and not the same old veggies. Also makes a large batch, and gets better the longer it marinates.
