About this Cook
I love to cook and my first cooking memory is of watching the hamburgers for my mother while she changed my little brother when I was 5.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and cook everything! I would rather make my puddings from scratch than ever open a box!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Stirring the chocolate gravy and making drop biscuits on special mornings when the whole family was favorite breakfast when I was a child biscuits and chocolate gravy!my mama made the best chocolate gravy!
My cooking triumphs
My first Christmas without my mother supervising, I was the lead cook and everything turned out great! From cocktails (chocolate martinis) to the turkey everything was perfect!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I tried to make sushi, my sushi rice was still crunchy.... I had to start all over again and thankfully the second round was better than the first, and we had sushi for weeks until I mastered the sushi roll!

No-Chocolate Blondie Brownies
Just a warning to everyone these are chewy, with scoop of ice cream and caramel or butterscotch sauce over them they are delicious! Just a warning to those of you looking for a cake like consistency, usually the more flour and less butter the more cakey they will be. Feel free to add and reduce to your own preference.

Refreshing Cucumber Salad
used sherry instead of vinegar because I didn't have any handy, and used miracle whip instead of mayonaise. I added a little dill as well. We loved it!

Banana Banana Bread
The first time I have tried a banana bread recipe and it was great! I made it into muffins and used self-rising flour and didn't use the salt and baking soda. My 5 year old loved them and so did the rest of the family!
