Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
This was very good and I really liked it until I tried a different recipe which was amazing. The texture of this pie is too much like a mousse and not a traditional pecan pie, the filling also was not enough for a regular 9" pie crust.

Chinese Pepper Round Steak

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
I think this recipe is 5 stars as is. Only changes I made was to season the meat before cooking and I added onions with the peppers and cooked a bit before adding the sauce. Flavorful, easy recipe.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
DELICIOUS! I did season the chicken w/ poultry seasoning and garlic salt as suggested by others, added more seasoning to the sauce. Also added corn to the vegetables and used low fat milk. My only difficulty was when I put the pie crust on top of the hot mixture it started to get too gooey for me to work with. End result was still amazing and I will make again very soon!

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2013
Delicious! I followed many of the suggestions that I read: cut the oil in half and dumped a whole can of sweetened condensed milk on top. I did half the milk, followed by the caramel, letting each soak in & then repeated. I will definitely make again.

Banana Bread V

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2013
This turned out to be the best banana bread I've ever made. I actually doubled the recipe and took some advice from other reviewers. I did half white sugar, half brown sugar, added vanilla and cinnamon. I also topped it with a little crumbled brown sugar. It was moist, a little crisp on the outside but moist and flavorful on the inside. With the additions it is a 5-Star recipe!

Fresh Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: May 29, 2013
4 stars only because I also said a problem with it being uncooked in the middle and a ton of liquid when I flipped it. BUT...I took it to a BBQ this weekend and it was devoured in minutes. My boyfriend liked it so much I just made it again tonight. This time after I flipped it I transferred it to a pan, poured the juiced back on top (so it didn't dry out) and popped it back in the oven for about 15 more minutes. Perfect! Recipe is a definite keeper and I loved using fresh pineapple.

New York Italian Style Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2013
First time ever making a cheesecake and it was easy to do & delicious! I made one tiny adjustment cutting back on the lemon and increasing the vanilla just as a personal preference. Searched around a lot for one containing ricotta and this was perfect, exact taste & consistency we were looking for.

Stuffed Flounder

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
Very easy recipe to make. I altered this recipe slightly to give it more taste and still found it to be it a bit bland. I used flounder filets, placed a ball of the mixture in the center, wrapped and secured with a cut skewer, sprinkled with paprika, salt, pepper, garlic, parsley & butter. They made a very nice presentation.

Apple Enchilada Dessert

Reviewed: May 9, 2010
I made this recipe this past weekend for a girls' get together & it was a big hit! It was so easy to make & delicious. I did as the other reviewers said and added the cream cheese mixture. I didn't really follow any particular recipe for it, just did it to taste. Mixed cream cheese, sugar & cinnamon together and spread it on the tortilla before adding the apples. I made the Enchiladas & sauce up ahead of time and then reheated the sauce, topped them and baked when I got there. This is a recipe you can't screw up!

Peanut Butter Candy Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
Very easy to make & my son said he like them better than Reese's Cups! Unlike other reviews, if I made it again, I think I might do a little less chocolate. Make sure you push down the peanut butter layer so it sets.

Speedy Oven Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2009
I did this as the altered version that some reviewers mentioned. I omitted the Cocoa and added a tsp of peppermint... I tried three separate batches even adding extra powdered sugar in one to make up for the loss of the cocoa and never could get it to set enough to cut. I would love to know what I did wrong because it was so easy and the flavor was amazing.
