Cranberry Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
Delicious cookies! I added a little bit of almond extract and used orange juice concentrate. Husband was skeptical (he doesn't care for much fruit or anything tart like cranberries), but he loved them. My kids (3 year old and 1 year old) also loved them. In fact, everyone who tried them liked them. My only complaint is that they seem just a little bit greasy to me, as I usually make cookies with canola oil rather than butter. I think I may try again substituting 3/4 cup of oil for the cup of butter.

Kartoshnik with Cheese and Onions

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
Good. I used colby & monterey jack cheese which is what I had on hand, but I'm sure it's much better with the correct cheeses! Sprinkled green onions and extra cheese on top as soon as it came out of the oven. Husband and 3-year-old loved it.

Wilted Spinach with Cherries and Goat Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
I loved it! Even hubby and 3-year-old ate it. (left out the mushrooms and substituted dried cranberries for cherries). Hubby said it tasted like something from a restaurant. 3-year-old didn't like the goat cheese, but ate the rest. served with a curried chicken and rice.

BLT Pizza

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
Okay. A nice twist on homemade pizza, but it seemed a little bland. Husband and 3-year-old preferred it without the lettuce on top. If I make again, will either add some seasonings with the oil on the crust, more bacon, or possibly Miracle Whip with the lettuce instead of mayo.
