Streusel Topped Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2014
We make these all the time. They are exceptionally good! I agreed with the other folks who suggested adding brown sugar, so I kept the same amount of sugar overall (3/4 cup) and replaced 1/4 cup of sugar with brown and left the other 1/2 cup sugar as white. I used the zest of a whole lemon without measuring which added more zing but I love it that way! Thanks so much for a household favorite!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

We baked this bread and ate a half loaf just "tasting" it! I've baked a lot of bread by now but this has got to be my new favorite. Superb!!! Thank you SO much for sharing!

Acorn Squash Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
I just made this with a few changes - I added about 1/4 tsp of celery salt to the 1/4 cup celery, because I LOVE what celery does to soups. I added a second dash of cayenne, and a healthy spoonful of curry. Instead of evaporated milk, I added 1/4-1/2 c heavy cream (I eyeballed it, sorry). This was AMAZING. Seriously, it didn't even need the bacon... which is saying a lot, because everything is better with bacon. Even BACON needs more bacon. But not this - it was superb on its own. Whomever created this is pure genius. I LOVE it.

This is also awesome when you add halved cherry tomatoes, and serve with crumbled feta on top.

I don't typically like pears, but these are great over oatmeal in the winter! Thanks for sharing!

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
Fantastic! My only complaint is that I couldn't quite get them to crisp as much as I'd like, but maybe i just need to have them in the oven at a higher temp for longer...

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
These muffins are fantastic and turn out better every time I make them! Two revisions - I did add a touch (2tsp) of vanilla in the mix, as well as zest from half a lemon - none of the juice. The lemon zest creates a wonderful aroma along with the vanilla and adds a hint of flavor that really accentuates the blueberry and makes it stand out. I went to costco and got bulk blueberries that I separated into baggies for this purpose. Love it
