Slow Cooker Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
This is a great recipe. We loved how the beans turned out. Salt can be added any time during the recipe as studies have shown it has no effect on the toughness of the bean.

Jam Kolaches

I lived in Europe and it seems EVERYONE all over the world LOVES these cookies. And being that EVERYONE has a family recipe. This one is delicious just as others are. One tip on the filling is to add superfine bread or cookie crumbs stirred into the jelly then there is no spillage when baked. DELICIOUS cookie. Thanks.

Masala-Spiced Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
This was delicious. What was bad about it was there was not enough for leftovers. Next time planning to make 2 chickens at once for leftovers. I made fresh naan and dal and dinner was complete!

I made this one and all enjoyed it. I used regular tomato soup and it still was great. I also served it over rice.

Tortellini Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
We had this with our lasagna dinner last night and the kids loved it. I deleted the red wine, sausage, and increased the flavor by adding pre sauted browned onions. I also omitted the tortellini and added acini de pepe. I also think the kids liked it better.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
We had this with our lasagna dinner last night and was I filled up just with the salad. Minor changes which would help the waistline since this is calorie rich as it is. Use already prepared honey dijon mustard salad dressing and not the mayonaise and sugar. What a whopping calorie cut it is.

Golden Rum Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
This is my favorite recipe and easy to change. I make it with amaretto, kahlua, creme de cacao, cointreau, which ever flavor of liquor you like for the occasion works well. I also use a 9x13 pan and top it with delicious butter cream frosting which is flavored with the same liquor and sprinkle with nuts. Super delicious and all will ask for the recipe.

Curried Couscous Salad with Bacon

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
I made this for all to bring for lunch as it will keep and not go bad. I did not add the Bacon because the flavor would be bad mixed with the other spices. To keep give it a real protein boost I added garden vegge type of tempeh. That gave the dish the extra punch it needed without the fatty bacon.

Pumpkin French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
Guess what I made this into a french toast bake and it was delicious. I first greased a 9x13 pan and loaded it up with bread cubes. Next I took the recipe's liquid ingredients along with the pumpkin and pureed it all in the blender. Next, poured it over the bread cubes and baked it for 35-40 minutes at 350F. When it was done I sprinkled cinnamon sugar over top and drizzled with powder sugar and milk glaze. Yummy from all my coworkers. and what raves! Just remember to heavily grease the pan and easy clean up. Another Bake and Take.

Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
This is a good recipe and what makes it better is using cheddar cheese soup instead of the cream of chicken and 1 cup of cheese. The use of cheddar cheese soup gives a lower fat and calorie without loosing the flavor. Also, I like the use of crushed saltine crackers and not the fried onions which would also lower the fat. I would also use a larger can of tuna and then all comes out delicious!

Sour Cream Pound Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
This is a great recipe. I professionally decorated cakes and used this recipe as it can handle the weight of buttercream frosting. This cake is very versitile as it also can be baked in many different type of pans and takes many types of toppings. It also tastes best alone.
