Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2011
Made this for our dessert for Christmas - and EVERYONE loved it! Made it early in the morning and just slightly warmed it up for after dinner. Added some hand-whipped topping and it was perfect! Thank you for sharing this!

Sugar Cookies with Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
I haven't found a reason to really leave feedback on recipes, but I was really displeased with this one. The dough was TOO HARD to work with after chilling for 1 hour. When it warmed up, it broke apart. These are TOO greasy for my preference. The counter was covered in the grease from this batter. My husband, who LOVES sugar cookies (or at least all the ones I've made, as I see him stuffing himself with them...) was not thrilled with this recipe. No good flavor. Never again with this one.

Easy Creamy Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
Not the best icing I've had. TOO salty! Next time, I'm adding only a tiny pinch of salt. It was also very THICK so I added more vanilla and milk/cream. Came out ok, but I'm not impressed.

Potato Candy

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
I have a variation on this recipe where in place of the peanut butter, you add in coconut and dip in chocolate. 3 1/2 c powdered sugar; 4 c flaked coconut; 3/4 mashed potatoes; 1 tsp almond extract Mix all ingredients together, form walnut-sized balls & place on wax paper to dry. Chocolate coating: I melted the candy chocolate and decorated with sprinkles. This recipe will make around 60 balls. Great to give out for the holiday! :)
