Kansas Tomato Sandwich

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
Toasted bread of any kind, thick slices of Michigan tomatoes, salt, pepper and miracle whip or mayol YUM YUM. I grew up on these sandwiches every summer when we wanted a snack but didn't have much food in the house. We had a famil of 11 children, so that was often.

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
I'm going to try this recipe tomorrow. Sounds delish. I have my own roasted chicken meat in the freezer and some fresh broccoli from the farmers market. Only change I'll make, is I'll use Puff Pastry since I have some in the freezer

Four Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2010
I've been making this recipe for years for my family for Christmas Dinner. May I say, all these changes have complicated this dish!!. In it's original form it's simple and delish!! Just cook up the pasta elDente!! Drain. Melt 1 stick of butter into pasta. Mix 4oz each freshley shredded cheddar, monterey jack, mozzarella (good quality NO CHEAP CHEESE here. IF you don't use good quality cheese you won't have good mac n cheese). Cube up 8 ox Veleveeta. Mix cheeses into pasta coated w/butter. Beat up 4 eggs in separate bowl. Add 2 C 1/2 n 1/2. Fold into pasta. Pour into buttered casserole. Bake 350 deg. for 30 min or until hot and bubbly!! Don't mess w/this recipe. Tip: Can be made ahead and refrigerated until baked, but it will be a little drier due to pasta soaking up some of the liquids.

Italian Bread Baked on a Pizza Stone

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
This bread is baking as I write this review. So far, I'm thinking not a good recipe. I added 1/2 extra flour into the bread machine prior to starting cycle. It came out so sticky I had to need lots more flour into it to even handle the dough. It seemed to rise fine but when I uncovered it and slit it w/the knife, it deflated. I'll let you know once it's done baking how it came out. But I don't think it's going to be so good. I'm going to stick w/the Artisan Bread in 6 minutes a day (i think that's what it's called. No kneading and never failed me. UPDATE: It just came out of the oven. NO GOOD!!!. I'm going back to the Artisan recipe mentioned above

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
I've made these rolls during the Christmas Vacation. They are the "BEST". And so EASY. I keep 3 at home for me, my husband and son. I ship the rest over to my sisters house to avoid eating them all. (she has 4 children). I plan to make this recipe a part of my Christmas vacation for years to come (along w/my Emeril's French Onion Soup). Their both keepers
