I have been looking for a recipe similar to this for a long time. We had a little mom & pop restaurant down the road that had the best Chicken Cordon Bleu, they closed down and boy did I miss the chicken. I could never find the right recipe to make the "sauce" that was pored over the chicken, and this sauce is extremely close if not a little better. I did the chicken, ham & cheese like they used to do at the restaurant. Deep fried Chicken with a piece of cheese & ham (i used smoked) on top covered with the sauce. I made the sauce separate and used chicken broth instead of the wine and it turned out great. Thanks for this recipe!
