Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
Loved this recipe! Will be used again! So simple and easy, with things you always have on hand. I followed the advice of others and dredged in flour first. Fried in my cast iron skillet. Turned out perfectly... mmmmm!

Cabbage Kielbasa Supper

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2010
This was extremely simple but very flavorful. I used bagged coleslaw mix for the cabbage to save time. I will likely add another potato and some carrots next time as well. Whole family loved it. Will definitely make again!

Dee's Special Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2010
Beer flavor and garlic was great. Chicken was nice and moist and tender. However, did not care for the mix of herbs as much as I thought I would. Would try more garlic and different herbs next time. But super easy to make! I had seared the chicken breasts versus broiling them, but would skip that step next time as well.

Mushroom Cube Steaks

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
Good way to use cube steaks. Simple and easy. I didn't care for the mustard, but my hubby liked it. Could easily omit the mustard if you wanted.

Split Pea and Ham Soup I

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2010
Very good and very easy. Only added some chopped carrots for extra veggie intake. Made a bigger batch than I expected, but now have some in the freezer! Hubby is a fan of pea soup and loved it! My 1 year old loved it too!

Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
This was a great and easy Corned Beef and Cabbage!! I used an oval 6 quart slow cooker, which seemed to accomodate all the ingredients than a standard round one might. I had to add a little more water to cover, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. I was worried the potatoes might be mushy being covered in water the whole time, but they turned out perfect, like everything else! The meat was very tender and cut easily with a butter knife. Highly recommend!
