About this Cook
I have been married for 13 years to Ray my fabulous husband. I am a professional chef who dabbles in gourmet at home but does southern cooking at work. I have 3 kids and 1 bad cat. I will try anything once and have recently developed an affinity for sushi!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook delicious things! LOL My husband swears that everything I touch turns to culinary gold! I think not! It took a lot of trial and error to get here!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have a medium family with 2 teenager boys and a pre-teen girl so I cook lots of comfort foods and casseroles. I love to stir fry and Italian cooking is my favorite genre! My mom is an excellent cook who, honestly, started me cooking to help her when she worked in the evenings. I loved to see the looks on people's faces when they took that first bite and I got addicted!
My cooking triumphs
Broccoli Shrimp Alfredo, Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce with Cheese Ravioli and Tuscan Grilled Chicken, Oven Beef Stew, Beef Stroganoff, Chicken and Stuffing Bake, Red Beans and Rice, Banana Cream Pie, Coconut Cream Pie, Garlic Grilled Steak, Spinach Dip in Bread Bowl, Beanie Weenies, Roasted Chicken with winter vegetables, Salmon Cakes, BBQ Chicken, Slow Cooker BBQ Pork, Marinated Pork Loin, Meatloaf with Roasted Garlic Potatoes
My cooking tragedies
Ham and Broccoli Casserole, Cheesy Baked Fish, Creamed Spinach Tart, Blackened Chicken, Italian Bread, (yeast and I are NOT friends).

French Dip Sandwiches
Followed directions exactly and it came out amazing! I couldn't afford a whole roast so I used 4lbs of steak instead and cooked for a little less time and it came out wonderfully! Thanks!

Mango Salsa
Too chunky and not good at all. Everything was too raw and didn't taste like anything but cilantro and mango. I was expecting the lemon and lime juices to break down the salsa into more of a salsa consistency. It did not. Will not serve this again.

The Best Chicken Fried Steak
Made this with pre-packaged country gravy mix, mashed potatoes and green beans, we called it the blue plate special, and the kids loved it! I even used the batter mixture on fried chicken and it was amazing!!!
