Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream
I really enjoyed this recipe. I did make a couple minor changes. I left out the red pepper flakes. I used italian turkey sausage instead of pork, half & half instead of cream, diced italian tomatoes instead of whole, and I added some chopped spinach. I also topped it with a little parmesan cheese. It was excellent, even my picky sister and 2 year old enjoyed it! Will definately be making this one again.

Irish Brown Soda Bread
I will start by saying that I had never made Irish soda bread before, but have eaten my fair share. I really wanted a "traditional" type bread, no sugar or eggs or raisins. I halved the recipe to just make one medium size loaf. The only other change I made was the ratio of wheat flour to bread flour. I used 1 1/2 cups wheat to 1 cup of bread (3 cups wheat to 2 cups bread for the full recipe). It is definately a dense and heavy bread, which is just what I wanted. The flavor is great, and it was perfect for sopping up the Irish stew I made for lunch!

Irish Cream Brownies
These were amazing! I followed the recipe exactly as it is written. I used the Betty Crocker Original Supreme brownie mix, which I think on it's own makes the best brownies. The brownies came out fabulous, rich & chewy with a great Irish Cream flavor in the background. And the frosting really made it all that much better. I brought them to work today for St. Patrick's Day, and it isn't even 11:00 yet and they are already half gone. I am not in love with the toffee bits though, I think I will probably leave them off next time. They are ok, but I don't think they really added anything to the overall brownie. All in all, these are staying in my recipe box and I will definately make them again!
