Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: May 22, 2006
Very easy, very good - highly recommend adding at least 1 cup of nuts (pecans are the best)

Buffalo Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2005
Really good and fairly easy to make. I put a more hot sauce on the chicken before baking rather than just the marinade. I am not a spicy food kind of person, but it needs more than just the marinade to keep the Chicken Wing taste.

Mama D's Italian Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
This was my first attempt at making bread EVER! Was very easy, followed all instructions exactly and they came out perfectly. I did use the other reviewer’s suggestion of spritzing water on the loaves every few minutes for the first part of the baking.

Washabinaros Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2009
This was excellent chili - not hot at all. I doubled the washabi and used 3 green chilis. 1 can kidney and 2 cans pinto. Prefect!

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
I took some others advice and increase the pumpkin to 30 oz and increased the cream cheese in the frosting to 8 oz. These bars are great - they are sticky and soft like the inside of a pumpkin pie, but cakey enough to hold their shape on a plate. I have made them several times as a hostess gifts and they have always disappeared quickly.

Ginger Scallops

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
The carrots seem weird, but they are really good. Use Sea Scallops, they are much better for this recipe

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
This was so easy that my 7 year old son was able to do almost everything by himself - even rolling and shaping the fingers. The cookies look awesome but are very bland.

Calabacitas

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2013
I make this for big parties all the time, always gone by the end. I add green chili, and just slightly sautée the zucchini, squash, red onions and bell peppers in olive oil. I add the steamed corn, cheese, cream, salt pepper, garlic powder and mix in large casserole dish. Top with cheese and bake for 30 min at about 325 or so.

Easy to make, everyone loved it. I used lard instead of oil - everything is better with lard.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
These meatballs are great! I bake them at 350 for about 15 minutes before putting them in the sauce. Steam in the sauce for about 20 minutes.

Green Bean Bundles

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
I made these for Thanksgiving and they were great. The sauce really is the best part! I did not cook the beans long enough though, so they were very crunchy. Next time will need to cook them until they are almost done and then put them in the oven.
