Super-Simple, Super-Spicy Mongolian Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
This was very good and easy! I did change a little by adding one yellow onion (sliced) and doubled the red pepper and did not use the sugar. I added the green onions at the end so that they kept their crunch. MUST use very thinly sliced beef!

Best Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
Without any sauce in the meat - the innards fell out when eaten. I added 2 tbsp of Szechuan sauce to the meat, which binds everything together perfectly and give a great flavor. I have used to recipe with both ground chicken and ground pork. I usually make 2 batches at a time and fry half the batch at just 3 minutes. They go into the freezer and are reheated at 350 for 5 minutes. Prefect crispy taste!

Very good batter, needs lots of hot sauce in the wet batter. Fry with lots more lard as well

Cream Cheese Tart Shells

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
These are great and the baked shell keeps well in the icebox filled or unfilled.

Strawberry Pie Tarts

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
This was an very easy recipe - but I do recommend eating it fairly soon after making it. The crust gets soggy over night and the filling won't keep its shape. Its still very good - just not as pretty.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
This was wonderful! I highly recommend dipping the butter/toasted sides of the french rolls in the juice prior to putting the meat in. This really softens up the inside, but keeps the crispy crust of the roll. Spicy horseradish, swiss cheese and grilled onions are perfect toppings!

Chicken Lo Mein

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
This was good - but take out is always better. The make at home kind always comes out too wet for me.

Buffalo Shrimp

Reviewed: May 1, 2009
I made these last night exactly as written and it was easy and good. Not as hot as other reviewers have said. Way too much of the flour mixture left over though. I would cut that in half next time.

This was great!! I reduced the sugar to only about a tablespoon, and it could actually be omitted all together.

Fried Cabbage II

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
Was very good and easy to make. Though not all that healthy, as my husband (who hates cabbage) said, "everything fried in bacon grease is good"

Oatmeal Chocolate Coconut Chewy

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
This recipe was awesome! It does set very hard due to the oatmeal - so I undercooked mine. I took them out the oven at about 8 minutes, just when the top of the cookie had slightly set.

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
Very easy and good. Use spicy BBQ sauce instead of ketchup and no chedder cheese. Did not have bacon, so didn't use that either. Makes good size patties.

Sugar Spiced Almonds

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
I changed this beacuse the spices do not stick to the almonds without a glaze. I doubled everything and roasted 1 1/2 pound of almonds at 325 for 8 minutes prior to making glaze. For glaze I melted 1/2 cup sugar with 4 tablespoons of butter. Boiled for 5 minutes to make a glaze - get the rest of the spices ready while boiling. Once done boiling, remove from heat and add all spices. Once blended - add almonds and coat with glaze. Spread out on wax paper to dry.

Super easy to make. I have also made the low sugar version of these with natural peanut butter, slenda blend and sugar free peanut butter cups.
