Papas Rellenas (Fried Stuffed Potatoes)

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2014
My wife said these came out great better than the ones from Porto's in Glendale. I added extra salt to the potatoes and semi-froze the meat in mini muffin pans then put two meat blobs together and covered in potato. Then rolled in egg and bread crumbs.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2013
I gave this three stars at it was just OK. I could careless about ranch but it was not overly ranch. My wife loves rosemary and ranch but was not moved by this dish.

Chinese Cabbage Salad I

Reviewed: May 9, 2013
This was great. Had reservations about making this but wow was this good. We have had this once a week for the last three weeks. Thought to add a comment since I'm making it now. We enjoy ginger so I grate some fresh ginger reduce oil by half and add some minced garlic.

Fluffy Instant Donuts

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2012
Do to the review I made the suggested changes (1c. flour, 3 eggs, 3/4c. water) and they came out great. I was scared as I did not want oil soaked donuts so I used a thermometer to make sure the oil was hot enough.

Jen's Chorizo Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2012
Well the chorizo was not the kind called for in the recipe so I was not able to cook like the recipe called for. I follwed the rest of the recipe and the family loved it.

Sweet and Sour Chicken I

Reviewed: May 24, 2012
I used pork instead of chicken and it came out great. I would also use it as a dipping sauce for egg rolls.

Lemon Berry Slushy

Reviewed: May 8, 2012
1st time followed the recipe to the T and they came out great. 2nd time I replaced some water with vodka and they were even better. This is a great some time treat with or without the strawberries.

Crispy Fried Chicken

I started frying chicken with panko's so that I could get a great crunch on it. I tried this the other day and was pleased that it came out so crunchy. Will make again.

Cheddar Cheese Nippers

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2012
I found these to taste more like a biscut than a cracker. I would have liked more of a cheese flavor. If I try again I would refrigerate in a log and then slice with dental floss as thin as I could get them.

Gummy Candy

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2012
I have to agree with other reviewers they are more rubbery than gummi but, I had all the ing. and they were quick, and good. I used a spoon to fill the molds and to my surprise it was very easy and a pizza cutter to slice the sheets.

Chanterelle Risotto

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
I have never had risotto before and was not 100% what the coutcome was to be. I followed the recipe with the exceptions of deleting the mushrooms and used dryed parmesan cheese(I used half of what was required for fresh cheese). This was good and I know would have been even better with fresh cheese. I beleive I could have cooked it a min. more.

Japanese Chicken Wings

We loved the sauce. I oven fried ours but I could only imagine how great they would be deep fired with pankos and then tossed in this sauce.

Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2012
This was quick, easy, and fast. I did not have seasoned bread crumbs so I used a mix of panko bread crumbs, salt, pepper, paprika, and asian fried onions. This will be my go to as my partner loves shaken-bake.

Simple Baked Apples

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2012
I followed the advice of a previous reviewer and tossed the ingredents into the crock pot. This was easy and would be great for hot summer days when you want something sweet but don't want to heat the oven. My partner and I both don't like raisins and I don't eat nuts in food so I left those out and made her a walnut syrup topping to go on her's and made homeade whip cream to top all. This will be a go to next time I will half the apples, core and place skin side down. I will also mix all the other ingredients together and then pour over the apples.
