About this Cook
My name is Wanda and I'm 43 years old,I live in Bentonville,AR I have been married to my best friend for 12 years,I grew up watching my grandmother, mother and when my mom and my step dad were married I would also watch him cook,I didn't start to love cooking until in I would say in my early 20s and then it just grew on me as time went by.
My favorite things to cook
I'm an adventurous person with food and I'm not a picky eater, however, liver, okra, anchovies, head cheese and chitterlings are not in my cards.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love Italian,Chinese,Indian,Greek and Mexican cuisine, but it was mainly Puerto Rican/Caribbean food cooked in my family when I was growing up.
My cooking triumphs
making a tomato based chicken corn chowder with black beans on a bed of white rice,it was a big hit with a lot of people,to think that it was just an experimental dish I concocted out of the blue.
My cooking tragedies
making improvisations on a chicken satay with peanut sauce (a thai dish) it was a nightmare and disastrous, that,I don't think even the trash can wanted it,yes,it was that bad. Pizza Hut got called that night.

Ground Turkey Casserole
I made some modifications, such as putting about 1 cup of chicken broth before adding noodles to baking dish so that the casserole wont dry up during baking process, diced onions and minced garlic in the ground turkey while cooking and instead of just plain tomato sauce I made it with spaghetti sauce, the cheese blend I did use light sour cream and Neufchatel cream cheese, but, followed the instructions, all in all it tasted very good, my husband enjoyed it,so,yes I would make this again, thanks for sharing.

Poor Man's Pie
It was easy to prepare and make and I had everything on hand, instead of using salt and pepper,I splashed some soy sauce while the mixture of meat and vegetables were being cooked in the skillet,my husband who is a very picky eater asked for seconds and wants me to make this again, thank you for sharing this awesome recipe.

Easy Cheesy Garlic Bread
it was very good,it had a great taste,I had to omit the parsley because I did not have any on hand and used sliced bread instead of french and it turned it into something like garlic toast, but, all in all,it was great and yes I would use this recipe again, thank you for sharing.
