He Jia Tuan Yuan (Tofu Ball Soup for Lunar Chinese New Year)

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2010
Wow!! This very good. I had to use spinach because I couldn't find pea fine shoots, and I didn't add the shrimp because I'm not a big fan of them, but my family told me next time I should put the shrimp in. I really enjoyed making this, very tasty :)

Orange Biscotti

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
My mom cannot eat sugar so I made some major changes to the original recipe, plus I thought I'd add somethings of my own to it. Here's what I changed: 3/4 cups white sugar became: 3/4 cups splenda 1 orange zested became: 1 orange zested and juiced 2 tbs orange liquor became: 2 tbs dark rum I mixed everything the same, creamed the butter with the splenda and mixed the orange juice, zest, and rum in with the splenda, butter, and cinnamon. Otherwise I followed the directions exactly. I am quite pleased with the result, and my parents liked it a lot too. I thought this was a great recipe and I enjoyed playing around making it, thanks for sharing :)

Spiced Hot Chocolate

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
Very good. It's been crazy cold lately and my mom keeps asking me to make her this hot coco. :) The best part about this recipe is the chili powder, it keeps you feeling warm even after you finish the drink.

This is FABULOUS!!!!!!! Yum, I doubled the recipe and there still weren't any leftovers. Very salty, but I love salt so that was great. My parents told me I need to make it again soon :)

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
AMAZING!!!!! Love, love, LOVE THIS!!!! Wow. I didn't have cream so I used Stonyfield plain yogurt (which is my family's favorite yogurt) instead, I also had to use dried basil since it is too early in the year for our basil too show up in our garden. This turned out so good!!! I also used dried cherry tomatos that my family and I dried last year. I thought the yogurt and the dried cherry tomatos gave the sauce a nice tangy flavore. I will make this again soon, my family just loved this! Quite simple. Quite quick. Quite good. Worthy of 124,474,473 stars :P

Vanilla Crepes

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
WOW!!!! :) These are AMAZING!!!!!!!! My family LOVED them! I rolled mine up and put whipped cream on the top and ate it with frozen strawberries from this summer (if you put them on a tooth pick it's just like a popsicle). I also used homemade vanilla extract instead of store-bought because I think it really tastes richer. I will for sure make these again in the summer when our blackberries, rasberries, blueberries, and strawberries are growing. Thank you soooooooo much for this recipe :)

Traditional White Bread

Yum! I substituted splenda for the sugar and shortening for lard, and it turned out GREAT! This is a wonderful recipe, also I took the bread out 5 minutes early and brushed with water to make it extra cruchy. :)
