Overall we were disappointed. Followed the recipe to a T - made it in the crock pot, doubled the sauce to make sure there was enough. I wonder how many people actually use Golden mushroom soup vs cream of mushroom? Golden has a very distinct flavor, and I think lends itself more to beef dishes. The sauce was very salty, and I love salt, I salt everything more than I should. It's very rare that anything is too salty for me. I had to add some half n half to temper the salt. I used Good Seasons brand Italian dressing, so if you use that, either don't use it all or be sure to get low sodium soup! The flavor of the sauce was very strong. It did not need to be doubled. When I saved the leftovers, I only added enough sauce to slightly color the pasta and it was better, although I still didn't care for the golden soup in this recipe. If I were to make it again, I would use cream of mushroom soup and half of the dressing packet.
