Oven-Baked Chicken
We just finished dinner and I must say this was terrific! From door to dinner table just just over an hour. The coating was crispy and the meat was tender and juicy. I also used split breasts and cut those in half as well. I stayed with the temperature and mine was done in 55 min. No way could you substitute pancake mix - Bisquick is a baking mix. Also pay attention to placing the coated chicken in hot melted butter in a hot pan - it will sizzle. You can't go wrong if you follow the directions as given.

Simply Traditional Lasagna
I suggest you give this a try! My daughter made this for our Christmas eve family dinner and it was a BIG hit, even with the pickiest eater! I can see where individual tastes might adjust the meat quantity or type of sausage but this appealed to everybody and now replaces the 4-hr prep lasagna of old, and the fact that you use regular lasagna noodles without precooking makes this a total winner of 5 stars with us. I also appreciated the review suggestion of using spinach in the marinara sauce.

Vegetable Curry
Agree this is a great starter recipe with so many possible variations. Some type of liquid is definitely needed in order to simmer the vegetables. Liked the suggestions of tomato paste and creme fraiche. I substituted thick chunks of yellow squash for the potatoes but may use potatoes another time. Didn't realize I had no turmeric on hand until I had the preparation well underway. I omitted the salt(because I used chicken broth)and pepper(reviewer's tip)and even with these omissions we thought it was very good. Since I didn't use potatoes I didn't see the need to pre-cook the vegetables so my cooking time was still only about 20-25 minutes. Glad I saw this recipe and thanks for the previous reviews - will definitely be making this again and again.
