Little-Known Fact: Monsters Love Candy
About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, cakes, and other sweets; I especially love food that is made from one thing but looks convincingly like a different food or thing (i.e. "grilled cheese" from toasted pound cake and tinted icing, "cake" from meatloaf with mashed potato "icing," etc).
My favorite family cooking traditions
Gotta be my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. There was a time when every time I visited home, my family wanted me to make cookies.
My cooking triumphs
A fully (chocolate-)frosted angel food cake (anyone who's tried to frost angel food knows how difficult to nigh' impossible a trick this is). Another would have to be my Vampire Pancakes with "blood" syrup--YUM!
My cooking tragedies
A fully (chocolate-)frosted angel food cake. Alas it looked great, but something wasn't quite right about it. Next time, I think dark chocolate frosting may work better.

Cinnasweet Pumpkin Seeds
I wish now that I'd read the reviews. Fllpowing it exactly will lead to a solid clump of charred seeds and solidified burnt sugar . If you use this recipe, make sure you scale back your cooking time at least by half. A cooler oven temperature would probably help, too.
