Taco Seasoning (without the chili powder)

Reviewed: May 5, 2012
FYI-For Southwest Cooking, MEXICAN OREGANO should be used as opposed to the traditional oregano used in Italian and Mediterranian dishes. There is a huge difference in flavor between the two. Try both and decide. Thank you for this good recipe. Great to start off with and allows for personal taste adjustments.

Jen's Fresh and Spicy Salsa

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2011
HEAT LEVEL EXPLAINED: The majority of the heat of a pepper is contained in the seeds and the veins. To reduce the amount of heat, seed and devein the peppers. Or use the whole pepper for more heat. Also, each pepper's heat content will be different depending on the variety, the field, soil, fertilizer, rainfall, etc. Just like tomatoes. You can buy several jalapenos, (or any kind of pepper) then compare when you get home. Some may be extremely hot, some mild, some medium.

Kentucky Biscuits

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2010
My made-from-scratch biscuits have always been good, but in my opinion, not great. I decided to try to find a great recipe. I searched through 7 pages and over 100 recipes till I decide on this one. FABULOUS!!!! I received raves from the people that always thought my biscuits were good before. I did not change a single thing and measured all ingredients which is something I never did. This is now the only recipe I will use. THANKS FOR A GREAT RECIPE!!!!

Turkey in a Bag

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2009
I have always used a cooking bag. Since I do not stuff my turkey but make a huge pan of dressing, I sprinkle garlic powder, a little poultry seasoning and black pepper inside the bird and then place the onion and celery (cut into chunks) inside the turkey also. Then bake in the bag. VERY flavorful and moist.
