Cranberry Cheese Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2012
This is great. I took some of the other suggestions and doubled up on the cream cheese mixture. Great tip. Also, wait until it is completely cooled, I stuck mine in the fridge and cut it up the next day. That way it is not goowy and cuts in nice squares. I used fresh candberries. I put a bag and a half on the stove with 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water until and let them simmer until it turned into a jelly-like substance. It was fabulous!

Gingerbread Cake with Lemon Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2012
It was too much molasses for us. It was just okay. I would not make it again. I had the same problem like some of the other reviews, it sank in the middle, not a lot, but did just a bit. But it was not undercooked in the middle or anything like that. I kept it 6 minutes longer than the recipe said but likely that is just my oven.

Banana Banana Bread

I make this bread for my family all the time. Sometimes I even follow the exact same recipie and make muffins. It is always a hit. I have made this many, many times.

Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
The only thing I did different than what the recipie dictated (based on several other reviews) was to use a combo of brown sugar and white sugar. However, I did not use 2 cups total. I used about 3/4 cup of white and 3/4 cups of brown. Next time I will try even less as it was sweet enough for my family even with this reduction. I gave 4 stars and not 5 because of the frosting. It is just okay. The cake recipie is wonderful and can easily be eaten without the frosting for a bread/muffin like cake. The frosting is just way too sweet, plus it does not taste like the frosting on carrot cake should. I am not an expert so I am not sure what it is missing, but it is just not quite right. Beware, the measurements called for in the frosting make A LOT of frosting. I only needed about half of what I made.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2010
I scaled this recipe to 2 servings, instead of 4. It called for 1/2 of 8oz of cream cheese, however I found that adding more is better. I like the sauce to be very thick. Also adding a bit of salt was neccessary.
