About this Cook
I love spending my winters in a warm kitchen with family. Springs and summers are spent outdoors by the lake on a bbq grill living it up. :)
My favorite things to cook
In the winters, I bake ALOT of bread from scratch. Autumn foods are my favorite to cook. Anything with pumpkin or any other ingredients available in the autumn season are my fascination.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Being from Kansas City, the home of BBQ, it would definately be bbq techniques and secret recipes. Aside from that, I focus on building new traditions and bringing a new perspective to old holiday traditions.
My cooking triumphs
I feel I have really grown in the baking field, especially breads. I've taken on RAW diets and strict vegetarian cooking. I have had many successes in this area as well.
My cooking tragedies
Cookies. They hate me. :(

Loaded Greek Burgers
Delicious! We used plain greek yogurt in place of the mayo for a tzaziki sauce. We also used jarred roasted red peppers to make this easier. Great recipe!

Lava Lamps
I made kid friendly versions of this and they were great! I replaced the vodka for more water or koolaid and the champagne for ginger ale or 7 up. The kids loved it.
