Strawberry Jam

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
This was my first jam. I'm 13, and it was VERY easy to make. It has ann excellent flavour. I scaled the recipe down, and it asked for 1 cup sugar, but i gave somewhere along 4/5. I boiled it for a bit too long, however, so it's a bit hard. I'm still giving the recipe 5 stars because that's my fault. I did the jelling test and sterilzed the jar in boiling water as other users reccommended, but I didn't turn it upside down because I didn't make much and it'll be gone in less than a week. Wonderful.

Strawberry Banana Smoothie

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
Loved it. I was a bit short on strawberries but I paid no attention to that. Also, I didn`t have any wheat germ so I used oatmeal instead. I had just plain yogurt (1%, which also decreases the fat) so I upped the honey a little bit and added quite a dash of vanilla extract. Fabulous.

Apple Pie Filling

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
This was so wonderful! It tasted great and the cinammon was just the right amount. The sugar is adjustable depending on the sweetness of the apples you're using. I think this was just the right dessert for a Christmas dinner. I read some of the other people's comments, and they said the sauce was too liquidy. I think they used the sauce either freshly made, or after 30 mins of cooling. I skipped the cooling and simply put it in the freezer for 45-50 minutes. The result was outstanding. I definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much for this recipe! I have to pass it on through the next generations of my family.

Pie Crust V

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
This crust was excellent. It looked good, and it tasted good.It was the perfect classic pie crust. It is easier to roll out the dough on wax paper. My friends and family loved it, plus I'm only 12 and this was my first time making a pie, and I was able to call it a success. I'm using this recipe for apple pie tonight, on Christmas.
