Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
Very nice! I love roasted veggies so it's always great to get a new recipe I threw in some carrots, since the honey glaze seemed to call out for them, and they were fabulous. Based on previous reviews, I doubled the sauce mix, stirred every 15 minutes (which cuts down on the messy pan problem), and cooked longer at a higher temp. Very nice recipe. Thank you!

Ziti with Italian Sausage

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
I liked this a lot. After reading the reviews, I omitted the celery and halved the pasta. I didn't have any mushrooms on hand, so that was out, although next time I'll buy some. I like spicy food so used hot Italian sausage and Anaheim peppers. (I know, wouldn't it be nice if we just reviewed the actual recipe??) Anyway, this was a great baked ziti recipe that can be adapted to anybody's taste. It's important to stick to the 30 minute cooking time, though, as opposed to 45. Thanks, George, this is a keeper.

Clam Chowder Canadian Military Style

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2008
I salute you! My cupboard was particularly bare when I needed a base recipe for clam chowder. I had canned clams, and always have evaporated milk on hand. This is a great recipe. I served it with hearty garlic bread, and we were happy campers. Thank you!

Ginny's Cheezy Macaroni

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2005
I was not happy with the outcome. There was still a lot of liquid at the bottom of the pan after an hour (and another 20 minutes sitting in the oven with the oven off). While the pasta was soft and cooked, there didn't seem to be enough cheese to coat the pasta. It was tasty, and I loved not having to cook the macaroni first, but I think I'll stick to making mac n' cheese the old fashioned way.

Cottage Cheese Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2005
This worked out very well for me. Based on previous comments, I decreased the yeast to 1 1/4 tsp. And to handle the 'overflow' situation I set my breadmaker for a 2 pound loaf. Thanks for the recipe.

Patricia's Green Chile Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2001
This was my first try at "Southwestern" cooking and I was very pleased. I roasted fresh green chilis, added a chopped jalapeno, and used fresh chicken. I'll definitely make up a big batch to freeze. Delicious.
