Garlic Broccoli

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2013
Made as written and loved the flavor! Definitely cut back on the salt to 1 teaspoon, it was way too salty for me and I love salt! Great recipe otherwise. Thank you for the recipe!

Steak Salad

Reviewed: May 9, 2013
Linda, I want to hug you for this recipe! I've reviewed it before but thought I'd re-iterate how great it is. I make this at least once a week and never get tired of it. The flavors of the dressing just go together perfectly with the steak. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Thank you thank you thank you, as this recipe will forever be a staple in my house!!

Simple Garlic Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2013
OMG, wow! Just finished eating this and it is hands down, the best recipe that I have made from this website (I've made a lot). SO delicious, and SO much flavor! Absolutely restaurant-quality shrimp. In my opinion, the caper brine makes the dish -- it adds a certain sourness/saltiness that for me puts it over the top. Very simple to make too! I can't say enough how great this is. If you're planning on making this, DO NOT leave out the caper brine. I served it over toasted baguette slices to soak up all of the yummy sauce...amazing. Thank you so much for this recipe Chef John!!

Cilantro-Lime Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2013
I rarely write reviews but once I tried this recipe, I had to let everyone know how delicious it is! I followed the recipe to a T, except I used less honey (1 tablespoon) because I like my dressings a bit more on the tangy side. SOOO good!! Def. don't skip the ginger...in my opinion this makes the salad. I can't say enough about how great this is. I couldn't stop eating salad because it's so good. THANK YOU for this recipe, as it will now be a staple in my house. :)

This was verrry sweet. I would use half the sugar next time, if that.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2010
This was delicious! The only change I made was I used a lot more chicken broth (2 quarts total) since I have a larger sized Slow Cooker and love a soup that has a lot of broth. Other than that, I followed everything else exactly and it turned out perfect in the end..compares to El Torito's famous tortilla soup!

Awesome recipe! If you substitute chocolate milk for the regular milk, it turns this drink into a rich Mocha Iced Coffee. DELICIOUS!!!
