French Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
loved this recipe, have tried a few other french onion soup recipes and this is definitely the best so far. I did find that when we ate it the next day it tasted even better. So I think I will always make it a day ahead and then reheat. Didn't alter the recipe at all.

made these last night and they were a big hit. Just enough of bite without being too spicy. And so easy to make, a great easy appetizer.

Crab and Asparagus Risotto

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
another great version of risotto. I must admit though, I prefer adding one cup of white cheddar or asiago over the parmesan. This is also good with grilled red onions and the asparagus.

First time making French Onion soup, I don't know why I waited so long. Very easy to make and this tasted great. Really nice on a cold winter night.

Very easy to prepare and was enjoyed by all my guests. Nice dip to add to a party and can make ahead. Will definitely keep it in my stand by list of easy appetizers to make.

Chipotle Smashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2009
We all loved these potatoes. I made them exactly as stated. We have also used this recipe for double stuffed potatoes, even better. They have a nice bite without being too much, great for a bbq.

Wasabi Secret Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
family really loved this salad, even my husband who turned his nose up at the wasabi peas when he first saw them. They balance out any sweetness from the pear and cherries. Had a nice crunch to them as well. A bit of a bite but not too much. Great summer salad, going to make again for big family dinner this weekend.

Creamy Shrimp Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2009
Made this for a family dinner and they sure didn't last long. The stuffing is great and it is all thanks to the horseradish. It was good in the tomatoes but would be equally good as a stand alone dip.

Maple-Garlic Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2009
Didn't marinate over night but still had a great flavour. The maple adds a great taste. Also bbq this on cedar planks and added a spicer side dish whiched seem to balance the sweeter taste of this pork dish. Was really good. My husband loved it.

Indonesian Pork Tenderloin

Made this for a family dinner and it was fantastic. We barbequed it on cedar planks which added a great touch to the pork. Has now become our favourite version of bbq pork tenderloin

If you like onions you will just love this. I made it as a side with pork and was perfect. Really enjoyed the flavour, and I didn't change a thing.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
enjoyed this risotto, but I think next time will try with just button mushrooms. Think the portobellos where just a bit too much. Think would also be good with white chedder vs the parma.

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
my husband made this a couple of weeks ago and we just loved them. Made the recipe exactly as printed. Actually, frozen some of the cooked ribs and just made up the sauce later, heating them up on the bbq, they were just as good as the first time.

Indian Relish

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2008
I have made this recipe several times now and people just love it. I have reduece the amount of sugar and vinegar to 3/4 cup each. Still a little runny, but I just drain it slightly before serving. Anyways, like I said everyone has loved it and there is none left at the end of the evening.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2008
My family just loves this receipe. I have tried a few different versions but this has been the best by far. It is all in the balsamic vinegar. The better quality you buy the more it brings out the flavor in the receipe.
