I am an organic and natural food educator with 4 kids who prefer to eat foods that are made "cafeteria" style. That translates roughly into comfort foods. But I like to mix it up and most times it's a hit, sometimes I have a dud, but I feel passionately about cooking and am always looking for new ideas for vegetarian fare.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make homemade pot pies and have recently perfected my zippy tofu pot pie, a heavily requested favorite. I also enjoy cooking meat, but most of the folks in my family are vegetarian, so I miss creating meaty dishes.
My cooking triumphs
making Kung Pao Tofu (on the fly) and having my picky twelve year old like it...brava!
My cooking tragedies
Using dark tuna to make a tuna casserole should be outlawed and has turned me off from making tuna casserole entirely.
