Savory Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2002
Very good. Tastes almost as good at the amish cinnamon rolls that are popular here.

Tuscan Soup

I used a whole can of evaporated milk and Kale instead of spinach. This tasted just like O G's. Husband loved it. Will definitely make again.

Baked Macaroni and Cheese I

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
Best Mac and Cheese recipe that I've made to date. I did saute garlic and onion in the bacon fat and added 1/4 tsp dry mustard to the roux. The rest stayed the same.

Broccoli Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
This seemed much cheesier than the Casserole I was used to eating. Everyone said it was fantastc. I followed directions exactly and used some leftover jasmine rice I happened to have in the fridge.

Glazed Apple Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2010
I made these as stated and was very happy with the way they turned out. They were very cake like. Not so much cookie, but we loved the flavor and texture.

Pico De Gallo

I've had this as recipe as stated and also made it with 1/4 cup of lime juice. Both ways are great. Just a really fresh, clean tasting salsa.

Sue's Taco Salad

Excellent, had it for supper tonight and even the one year old loved it. We added white onion to this (personal preference). This is quick and easy. Great for the family on the move!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2002
Best whole wheat bread I've had. Nice sweet taste to it. If you've made bread from scratch before this is about the same technique, gets easier everytime.

Deep Fried Dill Pickles

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2002
Went to a restaraunt a week ago and had these for the first time. Tried this recipe at home and thought it was great. I did double dip the recipe to get the batter thicker, maybe because I used homemade pickles. TRY THEM, YOU WILL BE HOOKED!!!

Cheesy Confetti Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2011
This has been in my box for 10 years, wish I had made it sooner, that would have been an extra 10 years of enjoyment. This was easy to make and very enjoyable. I left out the pimento and scooped out my serving before adding the olives. (I'm not a fan) Compliments from all! The green chilies add such a nice flavor, I wouldn't have guessed they were in there if I hadn't made it.

Pumpkin Gingerbread

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
I have NEVER liked Pumpkin Bread. Made this recipe to give as thank you gifts. I sampled it just to make sure it wasn't too dry, flavors right, etc. HOLY COW, THIS WAS FANTASTIC! It was hard to give these away, I will definitely be making another batch and will make for years to come! Thanks, this changed my perspective on Pumpkin! My oven runs a little hot so I kicked my temp down to 325 and since I was making mini loaves, (as someone else suggested) I cooked these for 45 min and they did make 7 minis. If you do make minis, Make sure you rotate front to back half way through cooking.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2002
Great recipe. I added the bell peppers about 3 hours before serving as some other reviewers suggested. I did not think I would care for this but the tast was excellent. I served it over buttered noodles and a side of steamed broccli. I will definitely make this again. I also used fresh garlic.

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2002
My husband and I both agreed this tasted better than that seafood place. Maybe, because they were fresh out of the oven. I did add a half cup more of cheese, and as garlic lovers, we felt the garlic amount was perfect. What a great recipe!!

Chicken Enchiladas II

This is a great recipe. I did as some have done and added a can of cream of chicken with the cream of mushroom. The rest I left the same. Next time I will double the recipe, it was barely enough for my hungry brood!!

Spicy Crispy Beef

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2006
I think this is an excellent recipe, although I did alter the sugar content by halving the called for amount due to previous reviews. This seemed to do the job for me. I had no chili paste so used red pepper flakes. Worked out very well.

Fry Bread Tacos II

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
This fry bread was really good. Reminded me of the Indian Tacos I used to get at the fair. I doubled the dough and it made enough for 7 of us with 3 left over. Very filling, just doped it up like our regular tacos.
