Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2002
My husband and I both agreed this tasted better than that seafood place. Maybe, because they were fresh out of the oven. I did add a half cup more of cheese, and as garlic lovers, we felt the garlic amount was perfect. What a great recipe!!

Savory Cinnamon Rolls

Very good. Tastes almost as good at the amish cinnamon rolls that are popular here.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2002
Great recipe. I added the bell peppers about 3 hours before serving as some other reviewers suggested. I did not think I would care for this but the tast was excellent. I served it over buttered noodles and a side of steamed broccli. I will definitely make this again. I also used fresh garlic.

Best Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2002
These were pretty easy to make a little time consuming but quick once the prep work is out of the way. I felt that the flavor was good but a bit bland. Next time I will jazz these up a bit. Seem to be missing something, not sure what.

Deep Fried Dill Pickles

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2002
Went to a restaraunt a week ago and had these for the first time. Tried this recipe at home and thought it was great. I did double dip the recipe to get the batter thicker, maybe because I used homemade pickles. TRY THEM, YOU WILL BE HOOKED!!!

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Best whole wheat bread I've had. Nice sweet taste to it. If you've made bread from scratch before this is about the same technique, gets easier everytime.

Banana Split Ice Cream

Tastes just like Banana Split. Couldn't believe it. It was a little more involved making than I planned but well worth it. heather

Good cookies. Remain soft and my 15 month old daughter enjoys them. Next time I will add a little nutmeg and vanilla for a bit more flavor. heather

Seemed a little too floury to me, but at the same time, this isn't quite what I expected.

Kansas City Steak Soup

This recipe was between fair and good. I did add potatoes and corn and peas, instead of mixed veggies. Felt this was nothing special though.

Pico de Gallo Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2006
Very good even my 4 year old liked it!! I was trying to get rid of some old hen meat,so I used stewed and shredded chicken meat. The rest of the recipe, I followed as is. Will make again, maybe as taco filler or burritos. Thanks.

Best Beef Dip Ever

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2006
I was not impressed with this recipe. It did come out incredibly tender but the flavor was very plain. If I would have known, I think browning the roast before placing it in the crockpot would have given it a better flavor. I have a french dip recipe that is alot better than this.

Vegetable Soup II

Reviewed: May 18, 2006
I am not a big fan of vegetable soup, usually I find it bland. I was wanting something besides chips to go with sandwiches. Not only was this soup easy, but it suprisingly tasted great!! Even my kids wanted more!! Thanks for a FIRST RATE RECIPE!!! I will definitely make again and probably won't tweak this one a bit.

Stuffed Shells I

Reviewed: May 18, 2006
This was a good recipe. I made as stated but next time, I will double the amount of spaghetti sauce and I don't think small curd cottage cheese will make any difference. I also could only find 12oz boxes of jumbo pasta shells. This seemed to be the right amount. I will also use fresh garlic cloves. Not quite garlicky for us. This will be great for Lent next year!
