Kickin' Collard Greens

I made these for Thanksgiving & they were a hit. I only give it 4 stars b/c I used a whole lb of bacon for about 2 lbs of greens & I added brown sugar & vinegar

Hot Crab Dip

I made this for New Year's. I doubled the recipe & served it in a small crockpot w/ club crackers & garlic & herb crackers. I have lived in Baltimore, MD all of my life .. so I used Old Bay instead of the hot sauce. It was all gone B4 the 2009 came in!

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

I made this for New Year's & everyone said that they were so good. I didn't change the recipe at all. Now I have to make this again Saturday for a Baby Shower. I tripled the sauce & used 6 lbs of frozen meatballs. **** Ok -- this is the 3rd time in 2 weeks that I have made it & it comes out great every time..

Candied Sweet Potatoes

This was a really good recipe, but I can only give it 4 stars b/c its missing an ingredient... VANILLA EXTRACT.. I also added a dash of lemon extract... other that that I followed the recipe. I made it for Thanksgiving & it was a big hit. This is a keeper!

Sweet Potato Pie I

This turned out pretty good. I quadrupled the recipe & made 4 (deep dish 9") pies. I did use evaporated milk, half brown sugar & a dash of lemon juice. I peeled the potatoes 1st, then boiled them. I also used a potato ricer to get all of the lumps out. Others have said that the pie is too sweet, but I added a little more sugar & it was still not as sweet as I would have liked it.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

I made this w/ a few changes. Used half & half instead of milk, dry mustard & added fontina cheese. I did bake it in the oven for about 30 min & added a breadcrumb topping. It was a big hit.

Spaghetti Sauce II

I made this today for Sunday dinner & it was wonderful. I doubled the recipe & made 2 changes & one addition. I used crushed canned tomatoes instead of whole & I cooked in my slow cooker on high for 4 ½ hours. I did add some mushrooms to the sauce. I caught my boyfriend making a sandwich out of the sausage & sauce before it had finished cooking. Then he had 3 servings for dinner. I served it over noodles with salad & garlic bread. This one is defiantly a keeper. Will definitely make this again.

Four Cheese Macaroni

I followed others advice & used 2c of half & half. I also doubled all of the cheese except the Velveeta. Before baking I sprinkled the top w/ a misture od shredded cheese & bread crumbs. I turned out very good. My boyfriend really liked it

Kathy's Roast and Vegetables

I made this for Sunday dinner & had almost no leftovers. My boyfriend kept saying how good it was & even had 3 helpings. He wants me to make it again next Sunday. The only thing I did was add some beef broth to make the gravy less thick. .. I've made this over a dozen times since my original review & it is great everytime. My BF is requesting it again this Sunday
