About this Cook
I enjoy cooking and trying many different recipes. I like to cook with many different spices and flavors. I take advantage of the millions of taste buds on my tongue. I have been married for 3 years and in the beginning I would wonder what I was going to cook. Now, I try to make a list of everything I will be cooking for the week so I can have all the ingredients handy. I like to put different ingredients to make a dish. I really enjoy cooking now. Especially now that I have many recipes to choose from.
My favorite things to cook
Ofcourse, mexican food. I am Mexican and I would watch my mom cook before my dad came home from work. She would cook up a meal for us. I got the majority of my home cooked meals from my mom. I have altered some recipes to my liking but still are very similar. I love to try many recipes and spices.
My favorite family cooking traditions
In Christmas my family has been cooking different types of shrimp. Like "camarones al mojo de ajo" (garlic shrimp), "camarones ala diabla" (shrimp in spicy sauce), "camarones ala costa azul (shrimp wrapped in bacon), camarones empanizados (breaded shrimp) and finally "mezcla del mar" (mixed seafood) All of these are very very delicious. This has been a tradition for the past fives year in Christmas. You guys are invited!
My cooking triumphs
Well so far 8 out of 10 times my cooking has been pretty good. I have had no complaints on it tasting funny or needing something. My dad loves the way I cook and I so does my husband. So that is something to feel good about.
My cooking tragedies
A few years ago one of my friends asked me to do some hot wings for her sister's baby shower. I was being lazy and instead of frying them first, I decided to put them in the oven. I cooked them for about one hour and were still raw in the inside. I had to take them out of the oven fry them and I just made a huge mess. I was so upset.

Penne with Spicy Vodka Tomato Cream Sauce
Great! Liked the sauce a ton!! This recipe is definitely a keeper! Next time I will double the sauce! I also used fetticini, as another user suggested, other than that followed to a "T"!

Chicken with Tomatillos and Poblanos
All I can say is Yum! My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe. I wish could have made more but is a keeper. I roasted the peppers on the stove top, seeded, and chopped. Will make this over and over!
