Baked Potato Soup

Used ham instead of bacon because that is what I had. Also used half basil half thyme like another user suggested....sooooo yummy!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

This was FANTASTIC! Took the advice of many reviewers. Added 3/4 cup chopped carrots, 1/2 cup white wine, an onion and I also doubled the rice. Yummmmmmmmmmm!

Orange Yogurt Panna Cotta

This was a delightful surprise! The creamy orange flavor and the berries were perfect. It definately tasted like dessert but was actually healthier than the veggie I served that night! I didn't have the correct cups so I just used short juice glasses and filled them half way. Then I put the berries right on top and served it in the glasses. Worked great!

Honey Wheat Bread I

Garlic Potato Biscuits

My only reason for not giving this a 5 is that I did make a few changes. My husband and I found them absolutely addictive! Yes, they are dense, but that to be expected with potatoes I think. I used wheat flower instead of white, I added about a 1/4 cup shredded colbe jack cheese and 2 slices of crumbled bacon. I also doubled the baking powder because of reviews of not fluffing up....I don't know that it was necessary since the denseness added to the addictive nature of these! Thanks Diane! I'll be making these again!

Cinnamon Sweet Potato Chips

These tasted fantastic, but I found it very difficult to cut them evenly enought to have them cook evenly. A lot of work for a fairly small amount of food......but as I type I am starting to crave the flavor :)

Crunchy Romaine Toss

This was fantastic! The dressing was amazing!!! I actually didn't have apple cider vinegar so I used white vinegar and pureed a large slice of apple. Everyone loved it!!!!

French Crepes

I used whole wheat flower,since these were actually for breakfast :) and added a bit of vanilla and there were perfect, I couldn't make them fast enough for my 2 yr old eating them! Just a tip, I don't know if the wheat makes this more so, but I definately needed to be generous with the greasing or they stuck.

Sea Salted Coffee Toffee Bars

These were fantastic! However, the recipe calls for way too much salt. Just sprinkle a wee bit over the top, if any at all. Also, I put the nuts on top for a better presentation.

Sunburst Lemon Bars

These are fantastic! I made these for a family bbq and when they were brought out they were gone in minutes! I upped the lemon by about 50% and left of the icing (sprinkled with powdered sugar instead)

Tzatziki I

This is just like what we at when we were in Greece! I did make one change, just that I drained the yogurt with cheese cloth overnight. Also, make sure you drain the cucumbers as long as you can. It gives the sauce a much better texture and consistancy.

Chicken Souvlaki Gyro Style

After goin to Greece on vacation, my husband and I craved good Greek food. This marinade is amazing! However, I did make some significant changes. First I cooked my chicken in the crock pot for three hours (started frozen)then shred it and returned it to the marinade juices. Trust me, this is amazing! I also prefer the Tzatziki sauce by CAYCE. Thanks so much for this recipe, we make it whenever we have a craving for Greek!

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

I simply couldn't believe that this would work, so I had to try it! They were amazing! They are, however, a little grainy so I tried adding 1/8 cup flower and they lost the grainy quality but were not as rich, which I loved.

Sweet and Sour Sauce I

This was fantastic! I did up the amount of ketchup a bit and lessen the soy sauce. My husband said it was definately better than store-baught!
