JK's Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2008
This recipe was delicious! I did cook up the onions in the skillet before putting them in the casserole dish. Would make a great brunch recipe if you had company or were going out. It came out of the oven looking great!! Will use this again. Thanks.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
These were very good! I made them as a snack this weekend and they went over really big. I did brush them with melted butter and I used the caramel seasoning you would on popcorn to make them sweet. They were delish!!

Chicken Wellington Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
This is a good recipe. I did heat up the cream cheese mixture, mushrooms and onions as previously stated to be able to mix easier. This is very rich and filling! I think next time I would cut down the cream cheese a bit. I also used garlic butter pillsbury crescent rolls and I think it added a little more flavor. I did individually wrap the chicken as stated in other reviews. Overall, I think I would make it again with some minor changes. Thanks for the recipe!!

Aloha Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
This recipe is delicious!! I will definitely use it again and again. It is not what I expected. I used drumsticks and combined all the ingredients in the crock pot and set them on high for 4.5 hours. The meat just fell off the bone and the taste was great! I did reduce the ketchup to about 3/4 cup. The sauce is very thin so if you're looking for a recipe with a thicker sauce this isn't it.

Ground Turkey Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
Overall this was a good recipe. I did add a 28 oz. can of diced tomatoes along with the sauce as called for. I also added some of my own seasonings. I will make this again only I will add some more sauce just because I didn't think there was enough. It was a quick and easy meal. Thanks for the recipe!

Orange Island Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
I used this with some adjustments and it was delicious! I read previous reviews and decided not to use the flour. I did add some brown sugar as stated in other reviews. I added sesame seeds to the top of my chicken after allowing it to marinate for about 4 hours. I then baked the chicken for about 35 minutes. It was outstanding. Will definitely use again! I only gave the recipe 4 stars because of the changes. Thanks!

Fettuccini Carbonara

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
I have never had this before but my husband loves it. This was so easy and so good! I will definately use this again and again! After reading many reviews I did cook the bacon separately and I also used half and half instead of the heavy cream. I skipped the onion and just used the green onions. It was fantastic!! Thanks for a great recipe!

Cherry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
This cheesecake is so super easy to make and it is delicious! I used it because it didn't require a lot of cream cheese. I did read the other reviews and have to agree that it does take a little longer than the 4 hours to set. I had it after setting about 6 hours and it still hadn't set all the way but by the next day it was just right. If you have the time to wait for this to set use this recipe. This is a great dessert!

Popovers

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
If you are looking for something easy that tastes great don't look any further. This is by far the best recipe! (and so easy!) I didn't have the custard cups so I just used a muffin tin and they still came out so good, just a different shape! I did bake them for 20 minutes on 450 but decreased the baking time to 15 minutes on the 350 temp. They looked done and I was afraid they would get too brown. So delicious! I think next time I'll try it with the cinnamon and sugar. Yum!

Zucchini Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2008
This soup was so good! It was almost like a vegetable bisque or chowder. If you want a thick soup with great taste use this! You do have to salt and pepper to your own taste but is so good and will be using this again. There were no left overs! Thanks

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2008
These were okay...I did follow the recipe exactly and they were very filling! I was definately not wowed by them and probably wouldn't make them again. I have been dying to make this recipe and was kind of disappointed with the result. It was easy and different but not my favorite and I love sweet potatoes.

Bread Pudding III

This is the best bread pudding ever!! I am not one for bread pudding either but it was the right blend of everything! The consistency was great. Wasn't too sweet and just the right amount of raisins! Just perfect! Wouldn't use another! thanks!

Mom's Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2008
Probably one of the best baked macaroni & cheese I've ever tasted!! The only thing I changed was I used a block of cheddar and shredded it myself in place of the Colby Jack. It was delicious! Will use this recipe over and over. thanks!

Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2008
This recipe was okay...I was expecting a bit more flavor. I did add more maple syrup and then more again after it was cooked. I added the vanilla and cinnamon to the egg mixture as others had recommended. It was pretty good for something to throw in the oven if you have breakfast company but would try something with a bit more flavor next time.

Orange Sunshine Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2008
This recipe was such a good spring time recipe. Very light cake and so good! I didn't use the vanilla pudding in the cake mix. I also didn't use the orange extract. I used the orange cake mix as suggested by other reviewers. It came out great! I also didn't have the vanilla pudding for the frosting so I used lemon and it was still very good. It was a nice citrusy taste. Everyone went back for seconds with this one. Will make again!

Ricotta Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2008
This recipe was very good, but not what I expected. It tasted like a sweet quiche. It was a different consistency as I expected as well. A little too eggy for a Ricotta pie but overall a great recipe and very easy to make!! Thanks!
