Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2010
I made this a few nights ago for dinner and my family loved it. I did do a few things different. First I used 3 large bonless skinless chicken breast and didn't pound them flat. Second I didn't melt the butter and garlic i just used some garlic butter I got from the store and just coated the chicken with that (I figured the bread crumbs would stick better and they did). I also used mozzarella cheese because that is what I had. I then baked the chicken about 20 mins then flipped it over so the bottem could get golden and wouldn't bet soggy( we hate soggy food). It turned out prefect!! I am planning on making this again and this time I want to use the cheddar cheese.

Pepperoni Stromboli

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
I made these last night for dinner. I used the refrigerated pillsburry pizza dough because that is what I had. I just the dough down the middle and filled them with the toppings we wanted and then folded them. I used an egg wash on the top as other reviewers suggested. They turned out perfect! I plan to make these again. They are easy to make and you can make them any way you want.

Aunt Mary's Banana-Chocolate Chip Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
I made this yesterday and ate a piece last night after dinner, it's so good I had to have a second piece. My 10 month old also had a few bits and she loved it, then she ate a slice for breakfast today. I will make this again and again and again. Thanx!

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
I made this today for dinner and it's absolutly delicious. I followed the recipe for the most part. I did use beef broth instead of water and I omitted the onion soup mix because my mother doesn't like onions. I also made the broth at the end into a gravy. I also made noodle because that is how we usually eat our pot roast. Thanks for the great recipe!!

Cookie Salad I

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2009
I'm giving this 4 stars because I felt that it was missing something I'm not really sure what. Everyone loved this but said it could use something. I'm thinking of maybe using chocolate whipped topping next time.

Andrea's Pasta Fagioli

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
This is a great recipe. I made this for my boyfriends Italian family Christmas dinner they loved it. I only made one change I couldn't find any navy beans at the store so I just bought chick Peas and used them instead and I had read in another review. I used the ditalini pasta and just put it in the soup and it soaked up all of the sauce so I added another can and it was perfect. The next day I made it using chicken broth and I was even better.

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
I made this today for my 8 month old daughter and she absolutly loved it. After every bit she would smile and yell ( when she yells she wants more and your not feeding her fast enough) or say mmmmm. I have a feeling I will be making this often. My 8 year old is at school and hasn't had any yet but I know she is going to love it and want to help make it next time.

Bacon Water Chestnut Wraps

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
These are very good. I did make 2 changes to the recipe. First I used precooked bacon because I had read another recipe in a magazine that said to use it. The other change I made because I have some picky eaters at the party I made these for so I just put the sauce on the side. I really wish I would have put the sauce on top and baked them like that but they were still great!

Gourmet Caramel Apples

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2009
I love this recipe but It is very time consuming and I tried to add mini m&m' s but that didn't work out at all they just slid right off. Also If you use a microwave the caramel hardens way to fast you really need to use a double boiler.

Twice-Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
This is a good recipe but not great. I felt that it was missing something. I just read a few of the reviews and decided it was missing sour cream I really think that would have made this a GREAT recipe. I will make this recipe again and use some sour cream. I also think using different kinds of cheese such as pepper jack would give it a bit a kick.

Meatloaf Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2009
My boyfriend loved this recipe. I also enjoyed it very much considering I don't usually like meatloaf. I did make a few changes. I added green pepper and I used Swiss Cheese. I cooked it for and 1 hour and 15 mins. I did end up changing the temp of my oven since I've made meatloaf a few times and it doesn't cook on 350 degrees I put it on 375 then the last 10 mins I moved it up to 400 degrees. It turned out prefect!!

These were great. The only thing I would suggest is not to mince the onion just chop it up.

Creamy Italian Dressing I

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
I'm giving this 4 stars because the onion I had was very strong. I used a 1/2 a very small white onion and the taste was so over powering but I think I bought a very strong onion because I used the other 1/2 in the food I was making and that also had a really strong onion flavor. I cried while cutting the onion so bad I had to stop and walk outside. My boyfriends mother also walked outside because it was making her eyes water also. I plan to make this again and hope I get a good mild onion this time! Other then the problem with the onion everyone loved the dressing and asked me to make it again. p.s. can you give me a suggestion on how to pick out a good onion, I always buy the plain white onions and have never had any problems with them being so strong. Thanks

Sweet and Sour Kielbasa

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
This was a good recipe for a fast dinner. I read some of the reviews and followed what they said I used 2lbs Kielbasa and soy sauce and I added pineapple also. My 8 year old didn't like the Kielbasa and my boyfriend didn't like the pineapple but they loved the sauce. I thought the sauce was a bit sweet and salty not sour. There was a lot of sauce left over.

Bob's Stuffed Banana Peppers

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
This recipe is a keeper. I changed the recipe a bit because I had made stuffed green peppers and had leftover meat mixture. So I had hamburger and rice and cheese in with everything else. These were great. I think they would have been great either way. Thanx so much!!
