Turkey Veggie Meatloaf Cups

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
Love this! The texture is great and it stayed really moist. I added red pepper flakes to the mix (a few Tbsp, didn't measure) and changed the sauce on top cuz I don't like BBQ sauce (I used a mix of tomato paste, mustard, brown sugar, and more pepper flakes). I also cooked them as mini loaves instead of in cups, but that's just because the mini loaf pan is easier to clean! Baked them for 45 minutes and they were perfectly done (VERY full loaves, less time if they're smaller).

Honey Cornbread

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2011
One of the better sweet cornbread recipes I've tried. I gave four stars rather than five because while it was moist and had great texture right after baking, the next day it was quite dry and crumbly. Wouldn't stop me from making it again, I'd just plan to not have leftovers :)

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
One of my favourite recipes....easy to make and absolutely delicious! I usually add an extra half cup of water, and almost double the ham and potatoes but that's just my taste. Even if you don't usually make soup and you're nervous about it, trust me you can't really mess this one up!

Donut Muffins

Yummy! I had a sweet craving in the middle of the afternoon, and these were so easy to make! The only change I made was to add a bit of cinnamon to the batter as well. Great recipe I'll be making often.

Great recipe! I used Indonesian soy sauce instead of regular and didn't use the sherry, but it came out soooo yummy!

Cool Raspberry Soup

I make this recipe often, and I always get several requests for the recipe. I sometimes serve it as a drink and garnish with a cinnamon stick instead of the sour cream. Yummy!

Unbelievable Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
So easy to make and so yummy! I made these rolls to have leftover turkey sandwiches after Christmas, but they're good even just warm with butter. I followed the other reviews and mixed the salt with the flour, and also brushed them with water and sprinkled with flour before baking, and yummy yummy yummy! My son won't eat sandwiches on bread at school, and these were so easy to make, it seemed like more effort to get in the car and go to the grocery store to buy some! I'll be using these a LOT!

Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
I love these yorkshires, they come out with a perfect texture and consistency. I make them to go with lots of meals besides roasts. I wasn't a huge fan of the roast itself though. Not bad, I just prefer more flavour, and the roast here is quite basic. This is my go-to recipe for yorkies though!

Albino Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
Good dish, but not very exciting. I tried first as a side dish to a very spicy chicken, and it went perfectly with it. However I tried it again on it's own for lunch one day and was disappointed. Quite boring on it's own. Will make it again though when I need a side dish that will compliment and not overtake a very flavourful main dish.

Orzo and Potato Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2007
I really enjoyed this recipe, and I've used it as a side dish with dinner, and added cubed, grilled garlic sausage to leftovers for lunch (really yummy). Definitely not a dish for when you're in a big hurry, but worth the time it took!

Bran Flax Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2007
My 10 and 7 year old sons LOVED this recipe. I skipped the nuts (allergies) and the raisins (we don't like raisins in muffins), and used wheat bran instead of oat bran, as I already had some in the cupboard, but other than that left it as it. Was wary when I read some reviews saying they were dry, but mine were very moist. The apples I used gave just over a cup of shredded apple, and the recipe made 14 fairly large but not 'jumbo' muffins. Thanks, these are definitely a keeper in my house! ***I just made another batch and added blueberries, YUM!

Cranberry Upside-Down Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2004
I found this recipe right before Christmas last year, and it was such a hit at our Christmas Eve party that I've had requests to bring it again. I switched it up with blueberries for a baby shower, and made it with cherries and almonds for a summer barbeque.......this is one of my favourite recipes ever!

Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers

I liked this recipe, but I wasn't as impressed as I'd hoped to be. I served them on whole wheat buns wiht tzatziki on both sides. Like I said, good, I'll probably try them again, but there's just not as much flavour as I expected to be with these ingredients.

Greek Lemon Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2002
I am in love with this soup!! The flavour was awesome for me, very lemony without being sour. My husband didn't like the lemon taste so much, but to bad for him! He's allergic to rice, so I substituted orzo pasta and some barley for the rice, which turned out great.

Greek Style Potatoes

Yummy yummy yummy. I looked everywhere for a recipe that tasted like those at the greek restaurant I worked at when I was 17, and I've found it. I serve these with anything and everything, from meatloaf to fancy dinner parties, and they always get a good reaction!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2002
Amazing!!! I was kind of iffy when I checked after 15 minutes, looked like it would be really dry, but after the full cooking time, it was wonderful. My family finished 3/4 of it the first night. I cut the amount of apples and cinnamon sugar topping by half, but left the oat topping at full (same result as doubling the topping). Tastes just like that at a restaurant I loved as a child.

Candy Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2001
I've made these twice now, and they are soooo yummy. Instead of 4 cups of pecans, I used a mix of pecans, almonds, and cashews, they all turned out great. If you like them sweeter, try doing the recipe as called, then making another batch of the coating, and put in the already cooked (and cooled) nuts for a double candy coating. Yum.

Butter Balls I

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2001
This recipe was so simple, I thought they'd be boring, but they actually have a really nice, delicate flavour. I've made 4-5 batches now, and they've never stayed int he shape of balls though, they spread out quite a bit, so make sure you leave room on the pan for that. I also made one recipe without rolling them in the sugar and they were just as good.

Best Ever Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2001
My husband is allergic to beef, pork, and chicken(among ALOT of other things) so I'm always looking for another way to serve turkey. I used ground turkey for this, and the oats instead of bread crumbs (he's also allergic to yeast in bread) was perfect. He's allergic to some ingredients in regular tomato juice too, so I just mix some tomato paste with water to make the juice. Turns out wonderful, and sooo moist. Even the leftovers were moist! I also added some 'The Keg Chicken and Rib Seasoning' (sold at Save on Foods) to add some more flavour to normally bland turkey. Glad you shared this one!

Eggnog Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2001
These cookies were great, a very different taste from all the other recipes I've tried. I went with some of the other reviews and cut down to half a tsp of nutmeg. Also, I made them smaller, about 2 bite size and that made them better for gifts, but for at home, I made them a little bigger.
