Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
Best soup ever! I wasn't overly excited to try, but it was recommended by my sister. Added a can of creamed corn to add another vegetable. Delicious, like the name says!!!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
Very good pasta dish! I used ricotta instead of sour cream, but other than that I kept it all the same. I'm not good at making Italian food, but this turned out really well. When all the leftovers got eaten - I knew it was a success.

Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs

the marinade was delicious and made the meat soooo tender. I also liked that I had everything on hand.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
These muffins were really moist and delicious. I subbed 3/4 c. whole wheat pastry flour for white flour and didn't notice a difference. The kids loved them and they were much easier to make and serve than banana bread.

Caramel Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
These are soooo good! They stay soft and chewy. The caramel is so good on it's own. We made a batch and after we tasted them we immediately doubled the recipe. That way you can use your whole can of sweetened condensed milk. I used just shy of three bags of microwave popcorn - two bags made them too sweet.

Molly's Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2010
This was good chicken! The kids loved it and it made yummy leftovers. Very flavorful - I wouldn't change anything about the recipe. Very easy!

Wheat Germ Whole-Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
These pancakes are really good! We are not a "health food" family, but I'm trying to make meals with less white sugar and less white flour. I thought we would give this a try and my family loved them. We all agreed they were much more flavorful and filling than regular pancakes. They reminded me of the yummy refrigerator bran muffins people used to make. I did add about a T. of sugar and a t. of vanilla.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2009
This chicken was soooo good! I used the less expensive chicken that is individually flash frozen and followed the recipe exactly. It was the easiest meal and everybody loved it. It would be a great thing to make for casual company to serve on buns. I'm going to take the advice of another member and make bbq chicken pizza with the leftovers. Can't wait! Thank you for the recipe.

Apple Crisp IV

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
This was a really good apple crisp recipe. I halved the topping recipe because I only wanted to make enough for a 9x9 pan. The topping was really good and I liked the idea of putting some of that on the bottom for a crust. The only thing you may want to consider is to add a little sugar to your apples if they are really tart.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
I made this recipe exactly as written as I like to do the first time I try a recipe. It was moist, flavorful and not too sweet as others had written. The kids and my husband, who doesn't eat sweets much, loved it. I will make this again.

Rhubarb Slush

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2009
I don't quite know where to begin on this one. It is THE BEST drink ever! I served it to my neighbors over Memorial Day Weekend, and they are all frantically running out to the farmer's market to buy more rhubarb. The only thing I changed was I used strawberry vodka instead of gin and served Fresca over the top. YUMMY!!!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
This was really good banana bread! My kids loved it. I did reduce the sugar to 1 cup on a 16 serving recipe and it was plenty sweet - and I have a sweet-tooth. The crust was delicious with the cinnamon and sugar. I did make it in a stone pan which makes the crust a little yummier. Thank you for the recipe!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2008
This recipe was very easy! I made the dough and put it in the refrigerator for a few days until the kids and I were ready to roll it out. The dough was very easy to work with even for the kids. We sprinkled the cookies with orange-colored sugar before baking. The cookies tasted amazing and were the first things to be eaten at our Halloween party.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2008
I found this recipe after my cousin requested chicken cordon bleu for his birthday dinner. It was delicious! My husband who isn't a fan of "ham and chicken together" loved it. After it simmered for 15 minutes, the chicken was done. I didn't see the need to cook it longer. The sauce put this into the five stars catagory. It made a good recipe great. If you're intimidated by difficult recipes, this is a good place to start and would be impressive for company.

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2008
Sloppy Joes are a favorite at my house and these were the best we've had! I added 2 tsp. worcestershire sauce because I like that flavor with beef, but other than that I kept it all the same. I only had biscuits on hand, so I served it over biscuits.
