Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
To think i was buying these pre-made. This was sooo much better. The only extra spice i added was some chives and a touch of bread crumbs, I baked it on 400 like stated turning one time, they stayed crispy! will make over and over!

Chef John's Buttermilk Biscuits

Reviewed: May 6, 2012
very good. had all the items on hand, except the buttermilk...so i made my own with a bit of vinegar. I brushed my biscuits with melted butter though. It did make 12 biscuits, wish i had made maybe 9 so they would be a bit thicker. They were very good, i will make these again and use this is my "go to" recipe i will just make less biscuits! :)

Mini Cheesecakes

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
i doubled this. I didnt use the whole vanilla wafer. I crushed up the whole box and added butter to it. The rest i made the same. It made about 32 mini cheesecakes. I used cherries and melted chocolate for toppings. This was also a big hit on Thanksgiving, i also gave some away too! pretty easy too and didnt crack!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
This is a pretty good recipe, i used a extra peach and it was still okay. I would reduce the cinnamon next time, it over powers the peach taste. Fairly easy to make, had everything on hand. My husband would give it 5 stars because he ate 3 servings!

Grandma's Doughnuts

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2011
wow who knew doughnuts would be so simple. They turned out great. I used small biscuits and made the holes by just shaping it with my fingers. I made glaze with powdered sugar and milk and also the chocolate glaze on here, will make again!

Chili Rellenos Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2011
I would have gave this a 5, but i think it needs another can of chilis, or a smaller pan. I used a 9x13 as called for, but each can only has 3 chilis so the chilis were stretched kind of thin. Flavor was is was really good! i could not find monteray jack without jalepenos, so i used weight watchers mexican shredded cheese and cheddar cheese. It was simple to make, went well with fajitas and spanish rice i made. I will make it again but with more chilis :)

Baked Zucchini Chips

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
these are awesome and easy. I have always had fried zucchini sticks, but those have too much grease! this is a healthy solution. I made zucchini and squash chips, they were excellent, i had some marzettis light ranch for a dip!

I would give it a 5 star, but i did add some more spices. I added garlic and onion powder and also a few shakes of cayenne powder. This is a awesome recipe! I had left over flour mixture and i did not fry in butter, I used a peanut canola blend... Very crispy and tasty!! used marzettis ranch dressing as a dip!! will make this again. Pretty simple too :)

Beer Braised Irish Stew and Colcannon

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
I will be making this again! it was really good! i wanted something besides corned beef for st pat's day. I didn't have the dark beer. But it was still wonderful... i was really wondering if those potatoes with cabbage and bacon would be good. That was the best part, my husband even liked it, and said he would like it again too. It was very filling. I did not make a bunch of it though. I made the stew in my pressure cooker because i came home to late to bake it.

Crescent-Wrapped Brie

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
I need to try this one again. Almost my brie leaked out into a baked puddle of cheese. I am sure if it stays inside this will be great! It still tasted good though

Creme Brulee Cheesecake Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
Very good! i made this 2 times, once with the toffee and one time with out. Simple and delicious! crust was a little thick, so the next time i used a larger pan. It is a little hard to cut, it really needs to set out for atleast 30 minutes before slicing. The second time i set it on the stove to loosen up the crust. I will make this again and again!!

Hearty Ham Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
Someone told me about this recipe, and i thought it was weird. But I have a lot of leftover ham from Christmas. So i figured why not? This is excellent, and i did not even have all the ingredients. I did not use the mushrooms, and i did not have the cream, so I used sour cream and some skim milk, i did not have time to make a crust, so i bought a roll out one. I used swiss and cheddar cheese, oh and i did not have the green pepper. But it is really good!!! next time i will have all the stuff on hand and take my time with it, this was a quick weekday meal, we had leftover mac and cheese and some dinner rolls
