Grilled Fish Steaks

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2005
My family loved this. I do not like fish so I didn't even attempt to taste it. My hubby and 2, 18yr olds gave it a definite thumbs up. I followed the directions to a T but used a cheaper fish called Basa. Any recipe that my 3 picky men like is worth 5 stars

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2005
If there was a 6 star rating this would have it! I didn't have the best of luck with the corn torts and might try flour next time but this was an excellent recipe. I've gotten where I only try 5 star recipes and after this one my family thinks I am turning into one of the best cooks ever!

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2005
This was Easy and Yummy! My family of 4 devoured the entire pan at one sitting. I used close to 12oz of Pace Salsa "HOT". It really gave it a great kick. I also used an entire pkg of Williams Chili Mix. I can see this recipe becoming a family favorite! THANK YOU DEB!!!

Macaroni and Cheese III

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2005
My family really liked this one. I added a lb of hot spicy pork sausage and it made a great dinner for during the week. I did add more cheese then the recipe called for and my son said it still could have used more. Another one where there were no left overs!

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2005
I really loved this recipe because it was super easy and the flavor was fantastic. There was one problem though. My ham was very dry. Next time I will watch the ham better and make sure it doesn't dry out. There was plenty of liquid in the crock. My experiance was a 4 star but had I watched the ham better I think it would have been a definite 5 star.

Boiled Tongue

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2005
I also add a few bay leaves and about a half tablespoon of whole black peppers. A friend from Mexico, taught me to use shredded cabbage (I used bag), with aprox 5 sliced green onions, 1 large chopped tomato, 2 or 3 chopped and seeded jalepeno's all tossed together with a bit of olive oil and salt to make a salad. Then take chopped tongue on a soft tortilla that has been fried slightly with about a 1/4th cup of the salad and you have one great taco! Those who get grossed out at the thought of "tongue" don't know what they are missing!

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2005
I just fixed this for dinner and it was a big hit! I used 2, 12oz pizza crusts and the 1 bottle of Bleu Cheese dressing was enough for both. I did use more chicken and more hot sauce then the recipe called for since I knew I was using 2 crusts and my family loves spicy. This is definitely a keeper.

Broccoli and Cheese Brunch Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2005
I used a carton of "Egg Beaters" to cut down "some" of the fat and used 16oz of pork sausage. I also added more cheddar cheese then the recipe called for. There were only 3 of us at dinner and we ate the entire pan!

Followed this recipe exactly. My family wasn't impressed. It was just an "ok" recipe. Probably will not fix it again.

Brenda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2005
I have fixed this recipe several times. I use a larger size jar spaghetti sauce and lost more cheese. I also use Italian Sausage instead of beef on occasion and will add mushrooms. Its one of my sons favorite dinners.

Spinach Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2005
This recipe was just "ok" so I am wondering if maybe I should have used a different Italian salad dressing since it has so many 5 stars. I used Wishbone Italian. Next time I'll use something else. I did double the feta and next time will use a bit less onion.

Broccoli and Sausage Cavatelli

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2005
I followed the recipe without deviation. It was just "ok". We found it kind of bland like another reader. It really seemed like it was missing something. I'll try it again and next time follow some of the other readers suggestions.

This deserves 5 stars just for being the easiest recipe out there! My son liked it so much that he ate the last half by himself then got in the fridge and made another batch!

Hot Artichoke Dip

This was a winner! I used 1/3 cup parmesan, 1/3 cup Asiago cheese, and 1/3 cup Mozzarella. I omitted the pimento's. I will definitely be making this one again and again!

My family really liked this recipe. I am rating this by their attitude as I am not a fish eater. I did however, love how easy this recipe was. I definitely will be making this recipe again and again!

Mandi's Cheesy Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2005
My husband liked it. My son and I thought it was good but nothing to get excited over. The soup was very thick and a bit bland. I followed the directions to a tee. All I can think of is that I used a different steak seasoning then every one else since the other reviews were so positive.
