Carrot Cake III

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2009
I've tried numerous recipes on this site and have never had any issues with them. However, this cake did not turn out at all. I followed the recipe exactly, with no tweaks and it came out awful. The edge of the cake was overcooked and hard and the middle fell flat and looked undercooked. After tasting a bit of the edge, it was also way to sweet. I didn't even get to make the frosting because the cake didn't turn out. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but it was not good at all.

I liked the look of this icing, but it was far too sweet for my taste.

Dark Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2008
I will NEVER use another chocolate cake recipe!! I have tested so many cake recipes and always have issues with them. I follow this exactly and it turns out fantastic everytime. I used this recipe with a raspberry filling and whipped cream cheese frosting AND chocolate ganache. It is to die for! I served this at a birthday party and at a company luncheon and many rave reviews! EXCELLENT!!

Microwave Peanut Brittle

I also burned my first batch of brittle. I basically cut the times in half the second time around and it turned out perfectly. The hubby keeps asking me to make more!

Marshmallow Crispie Bars

These were a hit and SO easy to make. I threw in some holiday colored M&M's before putting in the pan to add color and some chocolate. Everyone loved them!

Million Dollar Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2007
I made this for my holiday 'goodie' plates and everyone asked for the recipe!! i didn't use German chocolate, but all semi-sweet and it was quite yummy. I always had a problem with fudge hardening up, but remaining creamy. I poured this into a pan and refrigerated it before cutting with a knife dipped in hot water. It came out of the pan beautifully.
