Mexican Rice III

I don't know authentic Mexican rice but what I do know is we really liked the flavors of this rice dish. I will definitely make this again.

Rhubarb Cream Delight Dessert

Thank you for the recipe. I love it. I had to use a 9x9 pan as I didn't have a deep dish pie plate. Tonight when I serve it at the bbq. I will cut it into squares. The only thing I would change is I would cut down on the crust. There was a little too much for us.

Rhubarb Strawberry Jam

Thank you for the recipe but I wasn't so fond of the jello. I did about 1 1/2 cups of sugar to 5 cups rhubarb and 2 cups of strawberries. I added 1 pk of certo and 1/2 pk of strawberry jello. The sweetness was perfect but I could taste an after taste that I didn't like and I realised it is the jello. So I won't be using this recipe again. Thanks anyways.

Lemon Bread

great recipe. I did make a change by accident. I squeezed a full lemon and added it to the egg ,butter and sugar mix before the milk. Then when I finished cooking the bread I looked back at the recipe and discovered that I did it wrong so I cut 1/2 a lemon with 1/2 the sugar to put over top. I also like butter better than shortning. My mistake made the bread so nice and lemony. It was wonderful. I just made another loaf. Thanks

New York Italian Pizza Dough

Excellent pizza dough. I have been making pizza for years with the bread machine and my dough always came out bread like. It was really good but I wanted a chewier texture and this was just what I was looking for. I even mess up on the putting a little too much extra flour and it was harder to roll out but it still came out fantastic. I can't wait to try it and do it the right way. Thanks for the recipe.

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Excellent marinade. I went camping and put this marinade in a zip lock bag with 3 sirloin steaks and boy we sure were pleased. It tasted wonderful. I used an aged balsamic vinegar (very thick). I cut down slightly on the honey and vinegar as I didn't want it too sweet.Thanks for the recipe.

Grill Master Chicken Wings

Excellent chicken. I used light soya sauce as I like a lighter taste. After marinading over night....I cooked the chicken in the oven in the marinade @ 400 for an hour then I grilled it on the bbq. untill crispy and added the final sauce. My family loved it and because it was cooked in the oven in the marinade the chicken fell off the bone. Thanks for the yummy recipe

Mom's Pumpkin Pie

The flavor of this pie is excellent.At first I thought the cloves would be too powerful but all the spices worked together so wonderfully.I'm not good at pie crusts so I tried a shortbread pie crust and it tasted fantastic together.Thanks for the recipe.

Malaysian Barbecue Chicken Wings

Oh my gosh, these wings were the best.This was just what I was looking for.I used sodium reduced soya sauce and I didn't know I was out of sesame oil so I had to use some of my thai sesame dressing.I marinaded them all day then cooked them in the marinade for an hour @ 400 then a quick flash on the grill.I can't wait to make more.

Chewy Oatmeal Cookies I

My husband loves this recipe.He brought them to work and now the guys are all bugging him for more cookies.They turned out more like cake than chewy.I don't like raisins so I put cranberries and pumpkin seeds in mine......yummie.

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding

These are sooooooooo awesome.I have been using this recipe for a while now and they always come out so high.I put everything in the blender and then let it sit so it is room temp.I add a little garlic powder ( because we love garlic)and some salt.

Garlic Broccoli Spears

Thank you for the wonderful recipe.I did make some personal changes after reading the reviews.I sauteed fresh garlic in 1 Tbsp of butter and 1 Tbsp oil and squeezed in about 1 tsp of fresh lemon.The broccoli tasted fantastic.

Very Cranberry Chocolate Chip Cookies

I read all the reviews.This is what I did different.I used 2 tbsp of nutella and 2 tbsp of peanut butter.I left out some of the dry ingred.( approx. 3 tbsp.) to make sure the cookies held together.I toasted the sunflower seeds and I added pecans.I left out the pumpkin spice.They tasted so good.Thank you for the recipe.I had to find out some of the measurements like 5/8 cup and 1/8 cup and 1/8 tsp. Who uses measurements like that?

Swiss Cheese Meat Loaf

The taste of the meatloaf was great.I didn't have swiss so I used havarti.And no butter crackers, I used cheese crackers.I did put it under the broiler as I like the bacon crispy.Thanks for the recipe.

Honey Garlic Vinaigrette

Thank you dawner for the great salad dressing.I did have to change the apple cider vinegar to a product called Salada vinegar as that's all I had but oh boy was it ever good.UPDATED:I tryed it with the apple cider and did not like it.If I had started with the apple cider then I probably wouldn't have made it again.

Mom's Stovetop Pork Ribs

Thank you Thelma, this recipe turned out beautiful.I used baby back ribs and boneless chicken.I cooked them both together and finished up with 5 mins. on a hot bbq.They turned out great.
