Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2012
I'm unsure why it's called Aussie Chicken, but that is really of no regard. The sauce is delicious. The only thing I did different was rather than cooking the bacon prior to baking the chicken, I did that all in one final step. The bacon got nice and crispy in the 25 minutes I let the chicken go in the oven (yeah, I left it in 10 minutes longer.) The sauce is perfect and the combination of the savory bacon and chicken with the sweet sauce was perfect.

Bacon-y Bok Choy

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
This was absolutely delicious. I served it over a bed of rice with some soy sauce. The salt of the bacon and the heat of the red pepper flakes tasted so good with the crunch of the bok choy. This is a keeper for sure!

Sweet and Spicy Curry with Chickpeas

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2011
This was a delicious recipe. I served it over curried sweet potatoes. The flavors of the two dishes melded together wonderfully. The only change I made was that instead of the sweet chili sauce, I used garlic chili sauce (and much less of it). The meal was great the first day, but even better as leftovers as the flavors had more time to meld together.

Orange Carrot Salad

I really disliked the flavor of this. It had far too much cinnamon.

Spinach Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
I feel like this dish could have used some seasonings. I like the general idea of it, but it was just bland. I should have considered that when I was making it, but since I rarely salt things anyway, I didn't even consider it. It definitely needed both salt and pepper an even some garlic.

Polynesian Vegetables

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
I enjoyed the flavor, but I would have preferred the vegetables to be softer than this recipe indicated they should be.

Ten Minute Szechuan Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
For not salting this dish at all and using low-sodium soy sauce, I still found it too salty. It definitely needed something to offset the salty of the soy sauce.

Glazed Meatloaf II

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
I had never made meatloaf before. This was an easy and delicious loaf, very moist but still held together. I never have been a big meatloaf fan, but I would definitely make this again.,

Butter Bean Burgers

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
I don't know what went wrong, but after cooking the burgers I could not get them to resemble anything beyond a puddle of slop. I followed the recipe exactly, but to no avail.

This was excellent. The sweetness from the graham crackers wasn't overpowering, but made this stand out.

Lemon Pepper Zucchini

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2010
The texture of the zucchini was perfect, but I felt like the amount of lemon pepper was going to be WAY too overpowering. I only put a third of it on the veggies and still felt it was way too much.

I really liked this. For as much flavor as it had, it was pretty simple. I served it with some spicy fried potatoes.

Cholay (Curried Chickpeas)

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
I am a little confused as to the reviews that said this dish was flavorless. I followed the recipe exactly as it is written and was delivered a wonderful chickpea dish that I would definitely make again.

Mexican Turkey Burgers

The flavor of these was EXCELLENT. The only problem was I had a hard time getting them not to crack. If I make these again I will definitely take the advice of another person who rated this recipe and try to freeze the patties first.

One Dish Chicken Noodles

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2010
The dish was a little bland, so I made sure to add enough pepper as well as sauteed some garlic with the chicken to add some flavor! It tasted like a hearty chicken soup, without all the liquid.
