We make homemade pizza on Christmas Eve and everyone gets to pick their favorite toppings.
My cooking triumphs
:) I won the Home-Ec Highest Average award in high school. It's a running joke in my family. :)
My cooking tragedies
I've had quite a few but, one funny one would be the first Thanksgiving dinner I made, about 8 years ago, I attempted a sweet potato pie and I used 1 Tbsp. of each spice instead of 1 teaspoon. It was pretty bad. I've since learned to pay closer attention. :)

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes
this was my first time making this recipe and I took it to a potluck. I used a mixture of Italian blend cheeses and sharp cheddar and it came out really well. The only change that I would make would be to add a little more salt and pepper. potatoes are like salt sponges, they soak up all of the salt and made it taste a tiny bit bland. I added xtra salt and pepper on my serving, and it was perfect. Everyone enjoyed it! Also, for any meat-eaters, adding ham would be great as well.

Vegetarian Baked Pasta
This was really great. I used homemade sauce and I used half of the gorgonzola cheese than it called for but, it was still excellent. I actually made it for Christmas and everybody really liked it! I served meatballs on the side for those who like meat with their pasta.
