Chocolate Ganache Icing

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2008
Rich and Delicious! I added 2 tbsp of light corn syrup when I removed it from the heat as suggested by another reviewer and used Frangelico because I did not have any brandy. I used this on the Cream Filled Cupcakes from this site. I can't wait to use it again with other recipes.

Souper Skillet Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
Very good and easy! I did make some changes only because I wanted to use what I had on hand. First I used 2 lb's of ground beef and no onion soup mix. I sauteed one samll onion and one small green pepper with 3 cloves of minced garlic, then I added the ground beef to cook. I used 2 fresh tomatoes (peeled and diced)and dired parsley, dried oregano leaves and lawry's seasoning salt. I added the water and pasta. When the pasta was done I add the parmesan cheese and about 2-3 handfuls of shredded colby jack cheese. Sorry for all the changes but it was very good!

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2008
The best!!! I do not fry the fish I first dredge the fish in an egg and milk mixture then in panko crumbs and baked at 350 degrees. The sauce, what can I say AWESOME!!!!!! I do not use a jalapeno and a sprinkle of red pepper. I also add a few extra capers not minced. thank you so much for a wonderful recipe!!!

Banoffee Pavlova

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
Wonderful! I needed a recipe to take to a friends house but it had to be gluten and dairy free. I used the base of this recipe and topped the Pavolva with fresh strawberries and a dusting of powdered sugar. It melts in your mouth! Thanks Trishie:)

Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2008
Fantastic! I made a couple of changes though I suppose it would still be great without the changes. I used Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa for the cupcakes and added about 2 tbsp of cheesecake pudding (dry mix) to the cream filling as NEgirl did. I also used a pastry bag and a #7 tip to pipe the cream filling in from the top, very easy. For the icing I used the Chocolate Ganache Icing from this site and used Frangelico in the icing instead of Brandy. These are the best cupcakes!

Wild Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
ABSOLUTLEY WONDERFUL!!!!! I could not find all the mushrooms so I used a 6 oz. pack of potabellas and a 5 oz. pack of shiitake. I also used a brown grazy packet with 1/2 cup of water for the demi glace. Very easy and very tasty.

Pizza Crust I

Reviewed: May 23, 2008
This is the best pizza dough. I change the perfeservings 17 and it made 2 perfect pizza doughs. I pre baked the dough at 425. The little ones like their dough a little on the chewy side so i pre baked it for about 10 min. The hubby and I like a thin crispy crust so I pre-baked ours for about 15 - 17 min.

Souvlaki

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
Wonderful!! I did make a few changes. For the sake of time I wanted to cook in the slow cooker. I put 2 pork tenderlions (about total 3 lbs) in the slow cooker with the marinade the night before and cooked it on low for 4 hours and 50 mins. It was tender and had great taste. I also used less sodium soy sauce. I served with some Tzatziki sauce and it was fantastic!

Malted Milk Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
Very good cookies but I made a couple of changes. First I made these with 2 cups of Robin Eggs (candy coated malted milk balls) and 1 1/4 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chunks. Second I decreased the sugar to 1/2 cup of each sugar because the Robin Eggs are much sweeter than the original malted milk balls. Third I added 2 tsp of vanilla. I had to cook longer, for about 12 min. The cookies are very thin but nice and crispy around the edges and chewy in the middle.
