Italian Style Flounder

Disappointed as the reviews we so great. Made as directed, just not very flavorful. Needs a little more zing somewhere.

Carrot Cake III

Cut recipe in half (8x8) and followed instructions as written except added a dash of nutmeg. Excellent results! Moist and tastes great!

Hash Brown Casserole for the Slow Cooker

Used colby jack cheese instead of cheddar.. Cooked on low for 6 hours and kept warm until served. It was perfect. I like the fact that this recipe doesn't have the large amount of butter as some copykat hash brown casseroles I have tried in the past.

Prime Rib Soup

I used the pressure cooker (20 min) for the bones. Added quick cook barley and it was an amazing soup that disappeared.

Sombrero Fajitas

Scaled this down, used a strip steak (Angel Food Ministries) to cut up and had a wonderful meal for two. I used salsa on the side instead of the tomatoes. Excellent and quick.

Bacon Quiche Tarts

I used pastry shells but otherwise made the recipe as is. I found it tasty but bland. It needs some other flavors or seasonings. It is a good base though and something to build on with future recipes.

Easy Sugar Cookies

This is one of the simplest and best sugar cookies I have ever made. I did an 8 minute bake (adding sprinkles after 4 minutes) and produced soft, tasty delights. Highly recommended.

Crazy Cake

Wow! NO changes to this recipe needed... just a simple, fast cake that was great for a church potluck. I love the chips on top.. no need for separate frosting.

Easy Devonshire Cream

Excellent recipe and great on "Grandma Johnson's scone" recipe. Oh, and if you follow the directions as stated, i.e. CREAM the cream cheese and sugar first with a hand or stand mixer, it won't be lumpy. Hint: room temp cream cheese will speed up the process.

Best Cheesecake on Earth

OK, I am not sure why the rave as the recipe is not good. I followed the instructions to the letter. It was "gritty" in texture, not smooth, no crust and no flavor. Much better recipes out there.

Great results and rave reviews from everyone that had them at the potluck! I used peanuts, chopped up.. Didn't have shortening, so I used a cup of butter.. It worked just fine. These are excellent! Thanks!

The reviews make this a better recipe than the original. I wouldn't rate it quite this high except for versatility. Added chili powder, garlic powder, seasoned salt, seasoned pepper and cumin. The basic recipe needed help! Also, I would not use quite as much pasta.
