Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2008
easy and i keep all this on hand. the ingredients can be adjusted to your liking. i had to use powdered ginger, wish i would of used fresh. maybe i won't use the brown sugar next time either. good one to play with........i used sesame oil. also, i should get an asian hot sauce. i'll try it again sometime.

Cinnamon Supper Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
this is an excellent one for beginners. soooo easy. i used softened marg and added cinnamon to the batter, also. shortening is always soft, so to get the marg or butter to cream into the sugar, it must be soft. the powdered sugar on top is a matter of taste. right after you take it out of the oven, rub the top with a pat of butter, then powder it. it looks like allot of sugar but some melts. if you don't have a sifter, use a strainer or a colander, or just sprinkle it on. after i did that i cut around the edge and used two spatulas to put it on a serving plate. beautiful. good for after supper and good for breakfast, too. i shared this at work and they all loved it.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
i doubled this recipe to 36 cookies. i made tablespoon drops and flattened them slightly. after the first batch was baked i learned two things. first, don't overbake them, they take on a burnt taste easily. the second time i did 12 minutes then turned them and one more minute. watch them close and take them out as soon as the edges begin to brown or they'll be overdone. second, after i made the dough drops and flattened them, i sprinkled them with sugar before baking. this added just the right sweetness. i liked them much better with the sugar, maybe because i used natural peanut butter. i've always liked my peanut butter cookies rolled in sugar. these were good cookies, not the best, something different.
