Breaded Center Cut Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2001
A very quick, easy and wonderful tasting dish. I added plain pepper and a few drops of lemon juice as I did not have the Lemon Pepper, and the dish was wonderful. Thank you for sharing.

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2001
This is truly a wonderful marinade. It is very quick and easy to make. I served the shrimp over rice with chopped broccoli on the side. It is a very colorful and tasty dish. Makes a wonderful, quick company dish. I highly recommend!!

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2001
This is a very different and fun recipe. The taste is quite unique. I agree that it tastes a bit too salty (not too bad though) -- next time I will use low-sodium Teriyaki sauce and perhaps add a little bit of water to the sauce. I definately recommend this recipe. Serve with rice and spoon the extra sauce over the rice. Steamed broccoli is a good light vegetable to serve with this. I also used low-fat Ranch dressing and low-fat Hormel Bacon-Bits to make an easy and low-fat meal. Very easy to make as well. Thank you for sharing.

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2001
Add one more satisfied person to this list. What a delightful salad. I used Ocean Spray Craisins (sweetened dried cranberries). I highly recommend this recipe. This is very easy to make and is really wonderful. (You can save even more time by using diced onion from a jar...it is in the spice section). Is also a very pretty dish.

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2001
Very nice dish. I added one 8 oz can of Spaghetti Sauce (after reading the reviews of others). Also bought the no-boil lasagna noodles which saved time. Cooked covered (with aluminum foil) for 30 minutes and then uncovered for 10 minutes. Very nice taste and appearance. I highly recommend this dish.

Sunny's Creamy Chicken Pork Chops

Very nice tasting and easy to make dish. I used cream of mushroom soup in place of the cream of chicken. Total cooking time was around 30 minutes. I highly recommend this for a quick and delicious dinner.

What a delightful recipe. Very easy and quick. I would recommend using one less egg. I also added an extra 1/2 teaspoon of Cinnamon. I highly recommend this. Thanks for sharing!

Lemon Mushroom Herb Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2001
I agree that this is one of the best chicken recipes I have made. I recommend using a whisk to stir together the soup and broth mixture -- it will elimanate the clumps from the mushroom soup. This makes a wonderful company dish. Very pretty with the lemon zest and parsley garnishes. Thank you for sharing this!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2001
Absolutely the best veggie side I have tasted. Excellent as is. The only alteration I made was to use No-Fat Sour Cream -- didn't miss a thing except the fat. Very good and easy to make. I would recommend this at a Holiday meal as well. Thanks for sharing!

Oregano Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2001
This is a good and quick dish. The flavors are nice without being overpowering. I would advise cooking only four chicken breasts with the amount of sauce given. I will be making this again.

This is really a nice dish...and very appealing to the eye. Takes a few extra minutes to prepare, but worth the time. I highly recommend.

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2001
This is really a great recipe. I halved all of the ingredients as I was only cooking for three, and it turned out great. I have made this without the meat and it turned out great as well. I highly recommend this. The leftovers are wonderful as well.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2001
This is really a great recipe. I used the same amount of sauce with six thighs. The basting really helped. Very yummy. I will definately make this again. One tip: the pan is a mess, so soak and soak early.

Italian Style Meatloaf I

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2001
Based on the other reviews, I left out the tomatoes. I also used Italian style bread crumbs, so I left out the Italian seasoning so as not to be over-powering. It cooked for 1 hr 20 minutes and was delicious. The flavors are great, and the dish is a refreshing change. I will definately make this again. I served with baked sweet potatoes and green beans.

African Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2001
I was hoping this would be better. I agree with the other reviews that the peanut butter is over-powering. The amount of pepper in this makes it very hot, so you might want to leave out the red pepper until right before serving so you can judge the amount. I would recommend this dish if you omit the peanut-butter. The chicken is very tender. Serve over saffron rice.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2001
This is a wonderful recipe! I took the advice of others and made a few changes: substituted cream of chicken soup for cream of mushroom, added a few jalapenos peppers (used Ortega sliced jalapenos and diced them), added 1/8 tsp. of Cumin, added 1/4 cup extra of sour cream to the mix. I topped the final product with a bit of sour cream and some black olives, and served with Cheesy Mexican rice. My family loved. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe and for all of the great advice!

Homemade Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2001
This is a great recipe is you are looking for a true taste of pumpkin. I was happy to find a recipe for cooking fresh pumpkin other than baking. But don't expect this to taste like pumpkin pie from the can....it is not as sweet or spicy. If you are looking for a spicer taste, I would recommend increasing each of the spices by 1/2 tsp. This was a very fun recipe to make, and I will make again.

Best Guacamole

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2001
This is a really good, simple recipe. It makes the perfect appetizer amount for two people. Be sure to chop the onions into small pieces....and red onions make a pretty color contrast.
